SO! Consequences is really great! I am a bit of an ass because I never review stories, but I had to let you know that this one is GREAT! Mostly because I am a big fan of Anite-with-child stories, but also because it's well written. You even begin to capture the tone of Hamilton's Anita with the stubborn agressiveness, but I don't remember any wisecracks or jokes used to deflect her anxiety.

It would be great if you could stretch out the dialogue, give us much more Nathaniel, give Anita violent mood swings, have Anita physically attack Jean-Claude to save Jason, make Jason amped! about Fatherhood, have the pard and various characters voting on baby names in secret, give Anita bedrest (which she refuses to carry out,) make Nathaniel a baby expert, make JC demand to be present at the birth, make it twins- or a litter of four (okay, that might be too outrageous,) make this a really, really long story, make a sequel where the child/children grow (s) up. Uhh ... Yeah, any of those things would be good. :)
