I'm so sorry you abandoned this fic. I thought it showed a lot of promise. I even bought into the Watson-is-a-woman premise, which is unusual for me. Too bad.

Mrs. Dr. Watson . . . now that's an idea! I've been searching around for some good Sherlock Holmes fic but it's so hard to find het fics without some random, annoying Mary Sue-ish characater. Yours is perfect. And I really like your description of their married life and how comfortable they are with each other, and how they're partners. And your love scene was quite perfect. I read you were planning something like a prequel to this story where they first meet, and I wanted to say that I would *love* to read that. Great job! Please keep writing!

My first reading of your story makes me want to read MORE! I like the way you slip into the story with just enough backround that it seems natural rather than extraordinary for you characters to be married and working together. So far your story is also interesting. Sherlock and Dr. see a ghost? Does this hint that he was murdered (wait, this IS a Sherlock Holmes mystery)? I like your female Watson. She is reasonable for a forward thinking female Victorian. And your love scene was very well executed. I have read some authors who also get vexed over doing them. Please continue to write!
