I loved how you used "Learn to be lonely" as his only lullaby. It is very fitting, considering how his mother treated him. She loved the little lap dog more than him! Even jealous when the dog showed him more maternal love than her....You really are dead on with characterization. Totally believable. Big thumbs up on that.
Are you planning on touching on the semi sexual interest that the Khanum showed in him? This would explain why she would feel a certain rage that another woman would accept him.
Once again, I love this story and I wish you would continue to write more on this version of Erik. Susan Kay’s “Phantom” is so much more developed than most of stories I've read. You really get a look into Erik's head.

Arg! Doesn't Erik realize that she was probably talking about torturing Olma? I hope that he gets to her in time to stop such a horrible thing. Make this story end happily, please. I like this story, but I can't stand unhappy endings.

Ooh, ooh, I think I know who she's thinking of for the torture chamber victim!! That'd be an interesting blackmail on the Khanum's part: "Have sex with me, or your lover dies!" Would that be such a horrible request for any man? *giggle* Anway, lovely chapter as usual, please update soon.

Well I like it. And no Erik didn't rape her. He was just rough. lol! ^_~ I think you did really good in this chapter. And I can't waite to read more. But maybe when she wakes up she can be little more understanding about Erik's face. Just little. Just tiny tiny bit. lol! Update soon! ^_~
