This was a fantastic chapter. You know, Erik has the patience of a saint when it comes to Christine. I wonder how he wouldn't be very angry at her for not revealing that Elaine is in fact his daughter -- and for not returning to him sooner, etc. That is some amazing kind of unconditional love he must have for her. I realize Christine was "bound" to Raoul, but it seems to me, she really made Erik suffer an extraordinary amount. Boo for Christine! Erik, if you didn't love her so much, I'd say you deserve so much more :) Wonderful writing!
