I am so glad I came upon this story. I don't know why you haven't posted it on ff.net. It is not as highly rated as some I have read. Indeed many of my own are rated much higher.

You have a real talent for wtiting. I hope you will continue. I know it has been a while since you wrote this and may not even check on it anymore. I just had to leave a review to let you know how much I did enjoy it.

Have you thought about a sequel or perhaps even tackling another story. I would enjoy very much another Erik/OW/OC

I do hope to see more from you. Please consider posting on fanfiction.net. I think there are many who would enjoy it on that site.

Wonderful, just wonderful. I truly enjoyed your story. Well written, thought out and a nice characterization of Erik.

Oh, my God. Words cannot express how amazing this fic is. First fic to ever make me well up in tears. I do, of course, wish there was more, like, maybe fourteen epilogues so we can have some more beautiful action, but yeah.

I love it. Amazing.

Wow! I hadn't seen an update to this story in so long that I was beginning to lose hope! Imagine my shock to come upon it today and notice that there was not only one new chapter to read, but 12. A very welcome shock, indeed! This was a great story, complex in its philosophy and simple in its purpose. This was not a long, drawn-out affair wrought with fights, misunderstandings, and angry temper tantrums; it was more of a subdued look at the friendship between two broken people who become lovers. There was plenty of conflict and moments of sadness and suffering, but never did the story become an overly dramatic exercise.

Your Erik was very mature whilst retaining his vast emotional spectrum. He seemed in character even while repressing his violent impulses, never did he seem unrecognizable in his tenderness. Underneath his volatile and crazed exterior, he is a deeply tortured, sensitive man who succumbs to dark urges in the face of great loneliness and desperation. I think that years of bitterness and isolation would destroy even the greatest of minds. I like how you made it clear that Christine's kiss, be it out of pity or otherwise, truly changed who he was as a human being. I may be giving Erik more credit than he is due, as anyone will tell you that no one truly changes, but I do believe that his redemption was final and not fleeting. He suffered a great shock when he was shown that small modicum of affection, and that shock broke through the selfish detachment he erected within himself to 'kill the pain', per se. I think you did a wonderful job of portraying a post-Christine Erik who had come to understand himself better. He was aware of his darker, more sinister nature, but he was more refined in his demeanor.

I also quite liked your innocently endearing OC. I found her final letter to be quite touching, and I am glad that a bittersweet story ended on a highnote.

Great work, overall.

Don't be discouraged by your lack of reviews thus far, this is an incredible story. So introspective and heart-breaking in all of its honesty and elegance. I really loved your third chapter, you captured Erik's awkwardness and fear so well, as even one as powerful as him would be vulnerable so far removed from his element. His nervousness and shock were so perfectly captured, and his eventual shame and frustration afterwards was vivid, I could feel his humiliation and sadness. Have you considered posting this on aria if you haven't already? I recommend you do, you'll expand your readership and recieve more feedback. I hope you don't mind, but I posted a link to this story on phantomfans.net in the recommended reading thread, as this is one of the best phics I have come across in a while.

If you don't have it already, the URL for aria is http://aria.phoenixfyre.net

I'm sure the readers there would love to read your story.

Prov brought this gem to my attention- what an original and interesting approach to a familiar post-Christine!Erik. Your prose has a lyrical flow, and I really buy this Erik's voice. And I love Madame Giry, so cheers for giving her some quality face time! Excellent stuff. I look forward to your next update! RAA!
