I personally think that Erik is in dire need of a woman, how embarrassing that he "lost-it" prematurely. Christine needs to stay focused in her persuit and keep her calm demeanor. She must not become rattled or distracted by his temper or stubborness. I have no idea how she is going to get through to him since he is so sadly embittered by what she did to him before. That was then, this now....focus Christine....focus! And if all else fails strip your clothes off and jump his bones (that never fails but in this case he may be shocked by that kind of behavior from his pure Christine). Begging won't work here, pleading won't either. Be forceful, be honest, be physical BUT get that man because if you don't "phantommiddleearthlover" will be waiting to scoop him up.....then forget it girl for the game will be over. On your mark, get set.....GO!
