Daughters posed a threat to his sanity.

Loved that line.
I'm already thoroughly enjoying the whole thing, actually. :) I love this concept; I love imagining that Erik didn't really die, he just managed to move on. I can see how he would need the "death" of his old life for closure so that he could move on somewhere new. I can't wait to read more! Nicely done!

Yay, they finally meet!
Well, yeah, it couldn't have been that easy lol. Erik is guarded because of Christine & Co. and Madison doesn't want to be kicked out and forced to marry, and his presence makes that more unavoidable.
I'm curious to see how it all plays out :)

Hahaha, I loved Madison checking him out. I loved how you made that entire interaction totally enthralling and without even any dialogue. Brava!

I LOVED that little bit of fluff. It was perfect. It wasn't too fluffy, and Erik DOES have insecurities because of his face, so it was wholly appropriate. I think that was very nicely done, and I loved it.

Aww, that was so sweet! :) I loved it! I think her reaction was perfect. She was surprised, naturally, and expressed it, but only as that--surprise. She didn't behave like an idiot, she didn't scream in terror or move away. She reacted exactly as she should have. :)

I've been thinking about this story alot the last couple of days and there are a couple things I'd like you to know. I LOVE the way you allow them to slowly get to know each other. As a reader, I got to watch their relationship grow. I have a lot of respect for you because you didn't have them fighting in one chapter, then getting it on in the next. I, also, want to comment of the "revealing his face" scene. I liked the fact it was the same like I've read in hundreds or other fan stories. There were no tears, no anger, nor any fear. I truly loved that. Thank you for such a beautiful story. Keep up the good work.
I've been thinking about the rooms too. You know about glass bottom boats? maybe there could be a lake and a glass bottomed porch looking at the plant and animal life? I've also thought about maybe a room that has mirrors stratigically placed around the room so when the sun comes out it lights the room. I've seen it done in a movie somewhere. Well, there's my two cents!

Ok, so I can't resist: I would give her sort of like an 18th century meditation/bathing room. Water comes in through the ceiling in different places, one wall being completely covered in water. Smaller spouts of water drop from holes in the ceiling, moving through a mock Roman aqueduct style of open pipes from cherub statues holding plates or shells or whatever, then spilling out until another statue landing catches it. In one corner, there'll be a giant heated bathing pool, in the other a giant tub with shelves of bathing oils and soaps and stuff. The architecture of the whole place is Roman/Italian, with gold accents. I think this would fit Madison's odd need for crazy rooms that are interesting but functional.
