I have loved this series of Fanfic for years. I just found the last two chapters here after being stuck with slightly less on non adult fanfiction. Years after the last update and I wish there was so much more. Come back Seraphis! This story makes me happy.

This is a beautifully written story, and a wonderful tribute to Jacqueline Carey's characters and stories. The pace is slow and deliberate, but not ponderous - very much like the originals. You have obviously put a lot of time, effort and love into this - keep it up!

Actually, I like Ana and I like Barquiel, so I didn't think this was slow-moving. That is the one thing I love the best with this story - it takes time to build up Ana's character. She is interesting because you make her so, not because she's the daughter of Phèdre and Joscelin.
I liked this chapter a lot - Barquiel was abrasive and rough - he doesn't like Phèdre - but not overly so, since he's dealing wth a kid. Hm. Maybe because he's dealing with a girl =)
Glad that you are still writing!

This is wonderful. I am so very glad you have decided to continue, as I was slightly concerned.
I am curious to see what all these young folk are like once they grow up a bit. As well, I am pleased to encounter Hyacinth.

Thank you for the update!
I liked when Ana betrayed her heritage and waxed (almost) poetic about a wellconstructed Roman bridge rather than flowers. ;) And I liked the description of Hyacinthe. And the Alban pastries.
Your story flows very well, and the dialogue is in character.

I don't think I've ever been quite so enthralled with a piece of fanfiction. Superb! You captured Carey's voice so amazingly. Please, please, please write more!

This is beautifully written. I admit I was weary of the idea of Joscelin and Phèdre having a child as Phedre states she'd never ask Joscelin to further compromise his honor in such a way, but you have managed it magnificently. In truth I think its a possibility all the fans crave and your tale is greatly satisfying. I simply can't wait for the rest of your story. I've come to love your characters as much as Jacqueline's and you write Jacqueline's characters and world in a way I think does them justice.

Thanks for the update! I hoped that you wouldn't give up on the story, and I am so glad you didn't. Still one of the best book-fics I've read.
