Keith. You sir, are a genius. In this short story you have captured more of the essence of Pratchett's Discworld than any other fanstory I have read. You have taken the humour, both black and otherwhise, and melded it perfectly with a well crafted and pragmatic story in a style perfectly suited to the setting. If there was a competition to have Discworld fan shorts published, you would be a worthy winner. As it is, all I can say is well done and good luck with your writing in future.

I enjoyed this fic a lot. You had a couple of great lines - "It wouldn’t be the first army whose battle cry was ‘Keep The Receipts!’" and "Quick math compared the forces of ‘our guys’ to ‘all them bastards’ and came up ‘serious profanity.’" were both brilliant and very Pratchett. I thought the resolution to the conflict was inspired. If I had any complaints, they would be that your style is very spare (not in the Vimes sense) and I think I would have liked this even better had it been longer and, you should excuse the expression, more fleshed out.

Good story I enjoyed reading it, has the feel of Pratchett's writing.
