Your story has an interesting start, and I really like the dramatic title (although you say it's just a working title). Your use of language is evocative and vivid. Also, I think you make some truly accurate observations about Raistlin's personality, for example that he abhors a meaningless, petty death. I really believe that is what he would think.

"Poor, dear, trustworthy Caramon that he had failed to love time and again." What a lovely sentence. So wonderful and true in its simple beauty.

I'm interested in seeing where you are going with this, and please, if people are lazy reviewing, do not let it stop you.
