I wonder... Is Ethan having a calming effect on Barlie? If so, I hope Barlie will realize this and not do anything to sever the budding friendship between them.
Also, the sexual tension is killing me! Can they please kiss or something in the next chapter?

I definitely know what you mean. My muse is constantly going off on a tangent whenever I need to be focused on something. Will you be posting chapters of your book online or are you going to get it published? Best of luck to you, though I think it'll be quite good considering you have such a great writing style. Haha, yea my sn is a play on words, though technically 'Raisden' isn't an actual word, so I can see how it would take a while to get. ;P On to the story...
Oh, Barlie, you insensitve boy! Obviously, Mike Newton isn't a vampire, so neither is his son! Sheesh! I'm guessing the reason Barlie seems like such a jerk is because Ethan is gay? Hopefully, Barlie will realize his mistake soon enough and make nice with Ethan. And by 'make nice', I mean... err, well this is aff.net, so I'm sure you know what I'm getting at. ;)
Anyhoo, I love this story. I know it's only a few chapters thus far, but it's so good, and I always find myself looking forward to what comes next. I plan on being a faithful reviewer, so you'll be hearing from me again after the next chapter. So... continue!

Yes, this update definitely makes me happy! I'm glad you introduced Lizzie in this chapter. She certainly seems like a very interesting character, so I can't wait to see more of her. But I must say, I'm definitely intrigued by Ethan. Why would Bella invite his family over? Is he one of the Cullens? I hate suspense, so update soon! ;P

I must say, I am loving this story so far. I know it's only the first chapter, but I already want to know more about Barlie. By the way, I'm guessing 'Barlie' is a combination of Billy and Charlie? Very believable, as we already know it's something Bella would do. ;P Also, great writing in this story. It flowed very well and was easy to get into. I cannot wait for the next chapter, and I'm eager to know who Barlie's love interest will be. Update soon!
