I reviewed this really quickly the other night, but haven't been able to get it out of my mind since. So I just wanted to pop back in to point out some of the things I enjoy about this fic.
First of all, I'm usually a Bella and Edward kind of girl, but you smoothly transition from Edward is great but stiff, to Edward is an immature, insecure condescending douche. And it's believable and largely in canon, and all together right on.
Secondly, I can't say how many version of Isle Esme I've read, but this is the first where it's horrible and painful the first time. I was completely captivated.
Then, there's your whole development of the idea of being bound and mated. (I've actually written about this in my fics too, some things we write are similar, some are different.) But I always thought this needed to be expanded upon in The Saga. And I like the bit about the venom.
I loved that there was some of Peter's point of View, Writing from lesser known character POVs in the saga always expands the Twilight universe a little bit more.
And lastly, the birth. God, thank you for the birth. It was a pleasure to read something that seemed very accurate, without vampire-bitten cesareans, discussing the afterbirth, tearing, etc.
So, brava! I loved it, and I hope you continue!
