Ahhhhh!!! No, you have to write a sequel to this! I am absolutely dying to read more from you. I've got to go read all of your other stories now, but this one has SO many views. I literally made an account just to review this. :-) I love how you wrote the epilogue with Tom's fate after the Creeper and the Lurker tore him apart. I think that is such poetic irony; I was honestly not expecting that at all, but it really fits with what Julian would do and I honestly think it's great. Totally hot.

Incredibly hot and wonderfully done. Wicked Julian is the hottest incarnation of him and you have him channeling that energy in a decidedly sexy angle. I like it. :)

I wasn't sure whether I was going to enjoy this or not but I read some of your stuff on fanfiction.net and said I'd give it a go, as I was looking for something different to read. I actually enjoyed it -for one, your writing style is very impressive, you create a very vivid picture in your descriptions and you keep the story flowing at a nice pace. the subject matter is racy - but i don't think anyone should criticise that - personally, I enjoy the darker side of writing and that's where I think fanfiction is great because it lets us do that without having to create entirely new characters. For some reason, I found Julian's vulgarness kind of a major element to why i enjoyed this story - it made the whole thing more fiercer and passionate. Anyway, thanks for the read and hope you keep up the writing. The characters of The Forbidden Games really give writers space to write a bit darker. BTW, I was glad Tom died at the end.

eurghhhh!! do you know how impossibly annoyed I get when stories like these just doesn't get the attention it deserves whereas fics probably written by 11 year olds are appraised as the next J K Rowling or Dan Brown!
I absolutely adored this fic, and I adore Julian/Jenny pairing so kudos for writing such a brilliant and hawwwwt story!
I loathed Tom and still do...lol

Well, I can't say I liked it. You said to review whether we loved it or hated it, so I'll review, and hopefully in the midst of 'Your Mileage May Vary' you'll find something useful.
First of all, Julian is a monster, and he plays with human lives, but he's never displayed the kind of virulent misogyny inherent in calling a woman a tease or a slut because he finds her attractive. He's an equal opportunity sociopath, not a bigot. Secondly, though the female body can and will react to rape as sexual stimulation, that does not for a second make it any less rape; fanfiction or no, it was still violent nonconsent. I'll assume you're aware you had Tom (and Julian, of course) completely OOC for the purpose of your story, and leave it at that.
Lastly, for a bit of criticism that avoids most of the big issues, Julian's language is usually much more formal; I find it hard to picture him saying 'tits hanging out' -- he sounds like a juvenile redneck stereotype, not a Shadow Man. And though Jenny is a sweetheart, she will fight back viciously if pushed too far, and she is extremely creative and thinks fast on her feet. You had her pretty OOC; nothing against the character you wrote here, but it wasn't Jenny, and we've seen how Jenny reacts in all kinds of stressful situations -- including in response to the perceived threat of rape.
...and when you say 'nuked' I really think you mean 'naked.' Nuked means attacked with nuclear weaponry. Naked means without clothing.
