The Swan/Nate story line was obviously going to have a bad ending, I don't know if you wrote nate from personal experience, but you got teenage jerk perfectly right, When I was his age I was a little like that, and I knew people who were much worse.
Alice's ability is quite easy to grasp, she see's the outcomes of decisions, as soon as someone decides something different, the vision changes.
Also Alice's and Jasper's abilities aren't centered in the mind, and therefore are not blocked by Bella's shield, which you indicated in part one.
But this story (the whole AGU storyline) is a great addition to the Twilight series, although it's not official, I don't think S.M. could right it better.
