"I will have his head... This I swear."The sea was not very joyish, not on this day. News of the little mermaid, the princess whom had turn her back upon her family in order to get the love she craved from a mortal. Her death rang in their ears, the kingdom was queit, the lights glowing dim. Black silk hanging over the young childs room, to mourn her lost. Her sisters sobbed, not understanding. They had givin up their hair to get their youngest one back. But the little mermaid only ran to the edge of the ship and dived into the water, letting her body been washed away in the chilled embrace. Their broken wailes did not even break the ice of their fathers heart. For he had not remove himself from his throne when the news of his lovelest daughter came. Even thou he refused to help her, bannished the thought of her idea of love and happiness upon the mortal world. But Deep down, during some of the loneilest nights, he hoped she would have come back and wrapped her arms around his neck and declared how she missed him. But now... This was a sad day in the kingdom under the sea..Not far, where the little mermaids cave lingered, where the shattered items of the world above laied in ruins. A women sat, golden red hair brushing around her in slow grace. Tan skin held tight to an object, dareing to draw blood from her skin. A mermaid sat, beautiful and slender, a yellow scaled tail laying limp upon the large stone she sat upon. Orange shells hugging her swollen breasts, tied with dyed sea weed. Her slender shoulder trembled, the only signs that she laid crying. The water took her tears that spilled and mixed it away, leaving her alone to mourn for her dear friend.Lily sat, holding the fork her dear friend had once upsetted over. The news of her death struck Lily deep, breaking her heart as well as her idea of the mortal world. She had sat and listened to her friend rant and dream of the world above, the wounders... the thrills... The idea to live among them. Lily had laughed at such dreams, knowing they could not be reached. But the Little mermaid was determinded to have it. Espicaly after that man.Her lips trembled as a cry left her lips. Tossing her arm, she threw the object away from her, lettign it float out from her sight. That mortal man, twas all his doing! She shouted in her mind. Her dear sweet friend went to seek him and endded up only dieing. Her love in vein! Unlike the others, whom had staied back and blocked out the idea of the little mermaid was still alive when she was upon the mortal world. She went to visit her often. Under the window in the sea, she would watch the little mermaid. Dressing herself in those mortal clothes, watching her dance and laugh, wishing she could hear her sweet voice again. She watched from afar as that prince, this man her friend so deeply loved romanced her, sweeped her off her damnable feet. Day.. After day.. After day.. Only to keep speaking of how he would wish for a women like her, but never taking her. Lily hated him with a passion. How she wished her friend would open her eyes and just forget the man, to return to the sea where she was happy. To be with Lily again. But the little mermaid staied through the abuse and kept on hoping. The last night Lily saw her, She was standing on the edge of a ship. Dressed so prettily, her hair did up so sweetly. But her face, held the emtion of a broken heart. Music played in the air as laughter rang out. Lily watched helplessly in the shadows below as her friend began to sob. Her prince had married another and she was left with the pain. Lily deeply wished she could have called out, to reach to her. But the moment her lips parted and her arms reached. Her friends name was called and she watched with a heavy heart. As the little mermaid wiped away her tears and forced on a smile, and returned to the lights that glowed...This was all the mans fault, that mortal. Pushing herself from the rock, her fin waved within the water pushing her out from the cave. She could not rest, could not eat. She wanted her friend back, she wanted her friend to smile and laugh with her. To sing and dance with her in the sea... Making her way back to the kingdom, Her hair floating around her like silk. She snuck her way in, through the blacken window of the little mermaids room. It laid still and dark, every object settled and untouched. Lily harden her heart form the tears that wanted to fall, as she made her way over to the dresser. "I will not let it end like this."With a trembling hand, she reached down the draw, the coral surface pinching at her fingers. She tugged it open and reached inside. Her fingers touched what she seeked and a sad smiel touched her lips. Pulling away, she looked upon the braclet that was sewed with colorful beads and pearls, small shells hanging like charms on its side. Lily had givin her friend this gift on her last birthday... Holding it close to her beating heart, she took a deep breath, letting the water fill her lungs before blowing back out. The door creaked and her body stilled. Someone was coming in. Tunring around, she rushed to swim back out the window, but it was to late."What are you doing here."The voice was demanding, harsh and cold. But anyone could pick up the pain it held somewhere inside. Looking over, her green eyes misted, she watched The King move closer. His white hair flaoting behind him, his blue tail flickign with such rage and sorrow. He looked at her, waiting for the answer to the question he asked."... I miss her.." Was all she could say.He looked away, his eyes settling upon the bed, his face showing the pain a father could only feel. No longer would he see his child sleep, no longer could he reach out and touch her dark red hair, letting it slip through his fingers like sand. "I do as well.." He muttered. But looking back to her, His hand reached out and touched her shoulder, giving it a soft squeeze. "I do as well..." But he let her go and she only turned away. She could not bare to see her king like this, a broken man with a shattered expression. Covering her mouth from her sob that wanted to rise she swam back out, letting her king have his moment alone. To remember, to regret. But holding tight to her braclett, her head lifted to the surface. The sun would soon rise and another day would start. Giving her object a squeeze, her lips snarled. The mortal world took her friend away... Then the sea will take its revenge. With a snap of her tail she dove off, rushing through the swimming fishes and merfolk whom awoke for a new day. She was blinded with rage, her heart filled with revenge. She headed to the one place, she knew could help her in her task. The Sea Witch.
