My Beautiful Beast

Beautiful Beast

By: Praiseofblood

Summary: We've all heard the story of Beauty and the Beast. But none of us have heard the real story…. At least according to the Beast.

Prologue: Once Upon a Time…

Once upon a time, there was a handsome, but cruel and selfish prince.

Yes, I suppose that would be me—being dashingly handsome I will admit to, but I am not THAT cruel or selfish.

The prince was coldhearted, and cared for no one but himself—

Is that not the definition of selfish? Gods, Grimm Brothers, try to be more creative, will you?

Until one stormy night, when there came a knock at his palace doors. When the prince came to see who was calling on his doorstep—

First of all, have YOU ever met a prince who answers his own door? Honestly?

—there he found an ugly, hunched old woman offering a single rose in exchange for shelter and food for the night.

Pfft, try a half drunk, half naked wizard seeking shelter under the covers of my bed for a night. Hell to the no.

When the prince refused the old woman's desperate plea thrice, she transformed into a beautiful enchantress, and cursed him to spend eternity as the Beast he was. Unless the cruel Prince could find someone to fall in love with him before his twenty-first birthday or before the last petal fell from the enchanted rose she carried he would be doomed to remain a Beast, forever.

Please. After reading this rubbish, I am now obliged to tell you the ACTUAL story of my rather infuriating and unique predicament. And the rather…interesting way it was solved. Ah, but how rude of me. I'd best introduce myself. My name is Prince Dominic Alivarious Araiadne Bastion Calvin Juniper Jonathan de Loncrey, and I am the Beast of the Castle.
