Empty

Mercedes POV

people screaming
people laughing
people sneezing
people coughing
people yelling
people crying
people talking
cars screeching
cars honking
my heart beating
my ears ringing
music blasting
rain falling
dogs barking

Everything...i could hear EVERYTHING and it was driving me crazy. It all sounded like it was right there in my room. Finally not being able to take it i sat up and screamed at the top of my lungs.

"STOP!!"

Looking around, i was greeted with nothing but the sight of my empty room. Atleast the noise was gone. I untangled myself from my sweaty sheets and made my way out of my room. The hallway was dark; the house silent. Where the hell was everyone?

"James?', i called out softly. No answer.

"Mom?" No answer.

"Emelia", i whispered, realization hitting me.

Running into her nursery, my heart stopped. It was empty. Where are they? Panicking, i ran out of Emelia's room, and down the stairs to the living room. Empty.

Yanking open the front door, i went to scream out to James, hoping he would pick up my voice where ever he was, but i stopped short at the sight of the world. It was grey. They sky was grey. Everything was grey. The streets were empty. The world seemingly abandoned.

Tears stung my eyes. I was alone. Everyone was gone..i was alone.

"JAAMES", i screamed, tears spilling down my cheeks.

I walked into the middle of the bare road and spun around looking for anyone..anything.

I ran my fingers through my hair and continued to spin around, icy fear gripping my heart. Everything was a blur. A blur of emptyness and grey. More tears.

There were no people screaming.
There were no people laughing.
There were no people sneezing.
No coughing.
No yelling.
No crying.
No talking.
No screeching.
No honking.
No beating.
No ringing.
No blasting.
No barking.

Nothing

Sobbing and crying, i dropped to the floor and clutched my head. Throwing my head back i screamed one last time...

"JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!!!!".

No answer as my screams drifted into the emptyness.........
