The Chamber of Pain

*groans* I've been feeling so sick lately. But enough whining. Got to write to distract me from my dreary life.

There is definitely going to be drama on the train. Along with a large dose of sheer weirdness.

But there is also a slight warning. If you have no stomach for extreme, gory torture that not even masochists would enjoy, please do not read the Alice part of the chapter.
Although then you might miss some of the advancing on my plot... not to mention hearing the Queen of Hearts' interesting background... and her sick fetish.

Anyway, Enjoy the latest installation of

ALICE THE 19TH
==========================================================

Adonis was jolted out of his sleep as he felt himself falling out of his seat as the train lurched upwards into the sky.
Realizing that he was on a train that actually flew instead of riding on steel tracks on the ground, he felt uneasy all a sudden.
How would a train be able to fly, anyway? Trains had no wings... at least he thought.
This did not seem very safe, now that he thought of it. But then again, Flying was supposed to be safer than down on the ground.
But if Trains flew here, did planes move solely only on the ground?
Were the planes wingless, then?
Adonis blinked, shaking away his train of nonsense thought.
Wow, he must had been more tired than he thought.

Axel remarked, "You know, this is the first time I've actually ridden a train... you all right down there, Adonis? I think it'd be more comfortable in your own seat."
It was then that the dream came rushing back into memory.

"Axel..." Adonis said, as he climbed back into his seat, "I have a question to ask you."
"What is it?"
"When I ask you, I want you to be really honest with me...that is, if you really do love me."
"yes?" Hatter's mismatched eyes flickered in curiosity.
"Axel... did you drug my tea when we first met, so that you could get me into bed fast as possible?"

The Hatter's eyes widened in surprise. He said, "That was ages ago... why would you ask about that now?"
"It was not that long ago. It was two to three days ago, in fact. Did you do it, or not?"
Axel sighed. He would had preferred for Adonis to find out much later than this, but he was never one for lying. Unless it helped him get what he wanted. And Adonis was already his.
"Yes, I did. But why are you asking, like it was the most important thing in the world?"

Adonis felt like he had been slapped in the face, as he stared at Axel in shock.
So that Dream had some truth to it... it was really a vision in which time used to communicate with him.
"How can you say that as if it was nothing?? You...used me! You never did care for me at all, did you?" Adonis yelled a little too loudly, which caused the other passengers to look up from whatever they were doing and stare at him.

Axel blinked, while the other passengers started murmuring their disapproval about loud rude boys.
There was a moment of silence as the other passengers started talking noisily.

"Young lad should learn his manners about keeping quiet on a train." The goat next to Adonis said.
The Horse-headed man put down his newspaper, and then looked at Adonis though binoculars.
"Young lad should get a haircut, his hair s qus quite long. He could be confused for a girl, which is just too rude.." The horse said, just right as he morphed from a normal brown horse into a Zebra. His business suit did not seem to change in the slightest, though.
Somebody in the back row called out, "The young lad must learn not to be a rude drama queen in public, and not socialize with perverts!"
And a female voice said: "The young lad should learn to stop doing homosexual activity, and settle down with a nice girl.... like me. I would not mind getting married to a pretty face like that." the voice snickered.
In fact, the others kept on talking in turn like that for a while.

Axel just simply ignored them, and said to Adonis: "What are you ing ing about? I do love you."
Adonis blinked back tears, somewhat distracted by the morphing horse for a second.
But he turned his attention back to Axel. "But if you really loved me, you could had let me come to you willingly. Instead of drugging me so that you could have your way with me! How can I know if I love you and want you if you drugged me in the first place?"
Axel shook his head. "I did not rape you... you were willing to do it, wasn't you?"
Adonis scoffed, his resentment growing. "Yeah, drugged into thinking that I wanted it! manipulating somebody like that to make them think they wanted it is the same as rape! When something like that happens, I am not sure if I even loved you, much less liked you in the first place. I thought I loved you. But that is not the same as knowing 100% for sure that I did. Anyway, you did it just so that you could get a new fuck-buddy, didn't you?"
Axel was growing more at unease, as he grew confused by Adonis's hostile reaction. "No... I did it so you could be mine forever.."
"Oh, so I'm nothing but something to be possessed by you, like some sort of object you could use again and again? Until I grew useless to you?" Adonis yelled, tears running down his cheeks.

The other passengers, who could not help but listen in, murmured their disapproval at drugging somebody like that.
"If I wanted somebody to be mine forever, I would let them order me around. Tie me up, and ride me hard... I would be sweet and patient to win their love forever... I would not rush things by using drugs." The Horse that was now a Zebra said, now looking at Axel though his binoculars, which now was a pair of opera glasses. Instead of his skin and hair changing, it was now his suit that changed. It changed color to a deep purple, with a leopard print to it.
"I'd take the one I wanted to be with forever, to the very tops of a mountain, where there would be always be beautiful scenery to dine together with my love by....with nobody else around. Just us two... conquering the mountain together, there are no place for a rape drug like that.." said the goat.
"The one I love would be my master! We would run though sunny fields together forever, and roll on the grass...and chase moving objects together. I would be at his command, and even let him put a leash on me. I would not force myself on him even if I thought he wanted it.." the guy in the back said, oddly sounding like he was panting happily. If Adonis had not been so overwhelmed by painful conflicts of his heart, he would had wondered about the guy in the back, on whenever he was a dog or not.
And again, they went on like that for a long while. It seemed as if each one of them seemed to inisit on speaking in turn.

Once again, Axel ignored them all completely. His attention was completely focused on Adonis. "You were never like that at all to me...I knew you were special from the very moment I met you. I only did it so that you would actually consider staying with me, so that I could get to know you....to live with me. Even if we had only met just then."
"Oh would you please shut the bloody hell up!" Adonis yelled, and then he started sobbing. "I'm not even sure if you are lying to me or not..."
Axel got up and went to sit with him, so that he could wrap his arms around Adonis in an attempt to calm him down.
However, Adonis would have none of that. Adonis quickly got up, and shoved Axel away from him.
"You stay away from me! I'm going to go to find a place where I shall sit by myself! I need to think..."

"But what about the rescue mission we were on? For your sister?" Axel said, now completely stressed.
Adonis sighed. "I did not mean stay away from me forever. Just for the rest of this ride, all right? Now just leave me alone."
With that, he walked to the back of the train cab.
Axel sunk into his seat, and groaned: "Oh, this is just great..."
**********************************************************************************************

The Cat woke with a massive headache, and to his surprise, he found himself in a dungeon with chains wrapped around him.
He felt his temper rising in him... he felt humiliated, he had never been caught off guard once in his life. He had gone way too soft, although that was from the lack of victims to stalk and kill nowadays.
Orhaprhaps he was just foolish enough to lower his defenses because of Alice.
He was the terror of wonderland, famous far and wide for his antics. This would not do at all... somebody had to die, like the Queen.

"Well, it seems that our other guest has finally woken up." The Queen said, smirking.

The cat looked up, and actually gave her the trademark creepy, ear-to-ear grin that he was so well-known for.
"You think mere chains and shackles can stop me?" He asked, in a mocking tone.
"Actually, no." The Queen answered, "But the type of chains Queen had specially made is not just any mere chains at all. If you try to break out of them at all...let's just say that your pretty friend shall die. In fact, Queen dares you to try breaking out of them to see what happens!"
"That's a dangerous dare to make, considering that when I slip out of them; your life would be over." The cat remd, id, in an unconcerned tone.
With that, he started vanishing from sight...

However, before he could compete what he was about to do, a loud, pained scream was heard.
Alice was screaming, as if she was in extreme pain, as if she was subjected to the worst kind of torture possible.
The cat came back into view, still in chains.
"Alice!" He yelled, actually looking concerned.

The Queen let out a laugh. "See? If you even try anything to escape. If you even try to move at all... Alice shall suffer. Dear Cheshire cat, you were foolish enough not to notice the large boxlike thing between You and Alice. You You see how chains seem to be attracted to it, and both of them are hooked up to you and Alice?"

Sure enough, as Cat looked about himself more carefully, there was indeed a strange-looking object that he had never seen before in his life. There was lights on it, and some switches. It looked to be like a somewhat strange machine.

"Yes, it's a machine.." The Queen smirked, as if reading the cat's mind, "You see, the last time Alice visited this castle, she was kind enough to clue her sweet Queen in to an invention from her world--electricity. It has so many uses, but Queen has found it to be a effective torture device. Such delicious agony, such wonderful screams. The Queen just LOVES how it brings about that look in their eyes, as they are brought to the very edge of death in this method.."

The queen moaned, as if actually getting turned on by the thought.

"You leave him alone, you sicko!" Alice yelled, trying in vain to turn around so that she could see where the Cheshire cat was at.

The Cheshire cat said nothing, as he suspected that the Queen was about to explain some more, and indeed, he was right.

The Queen merely ignored Alice, and went on. "You see, Queen's Servants hooked it up in this way, so that if you ever try anything at all--and Queen means ANYTHING...even when she is out of the room-- Our sweet Alice shall get executed, thanks to those wires attracted to her lovely smooth back.."

With that, she gestured to wires which ran from the box to Alice's back, where they werped ped there. There was red blotches and burns from when Cat had tried to transport out of his chains, resulting in the mild electrocution.

"Of course, as you can see, she is not dead. But that was only because you tried to move only a little. So she only got a little bit of electricity. Only a little, but it still causes a lot of pain. Just imagine how she would die if you escaped from your chains!"
The Queen of Hearts let out a laugh, Just as the cat growled.

She then gave a toss of her head. "But enough explanations. Alice has to get ready for what she is about to face."

With that, she turned her back on the cat, and walked over to the headless servant, who was still holding the tray for her.
"It's time we got started. You ready?" The Queen of Hearts did not wait for her answer. She adjusted the dosages of the needles for a moment, then returned wite ofe of them in hand.
She then made a sudden movement, injecting it into her neck.
"OW!" Alice yelped, in reflex. She then gave the queen a dirty look.

"You're not smiling, You are my guest here...you should really smile more." she chastised her, coming a little closer. She called out for the headless servant to come closer with the tray, and took yet another needle.
She stepped back to take a few looks at Alice, as if memorizing every inch of her body. Then She moved again, kneeling between her legs for a nice view. Although it was mainly so that she could inject one needle into each leg.

Alice kicked, trying to knock the Queen away but She did not have the range of motion to even make contact. The cuffs scraped at her ankles, the one on the left biting through the skin, blood welling beneath the edge of the metal.

The Cheshire Cat growled at this scene before him, and without thinking, struggled against the chains. Just as The Queen of hearts got back to her feet, Alice screamed in agony once again.
There was a sickening smell of flesh being cooked, along with a frying noise.

Alice kicked involuntarily as she felt the current course down her back, pain pooling in her chest before reaching further... She shrieked, then an instant later fell back, lungs struggling to replenish themselves as the pain receded, leaving a trail of pins and needles behind.

"Did you feel that?" The Queen asked. "Never mind. It's obvious you did. The question is -- was that muscle spasm in response to the current or in response to pain? I sure do hope it was the last one.."

Alice clenched her eyes shut, preparing herself for another blast of electricity. It did not come. Her eyes flashed open, blazing fury as Tueenueen grabbed one of her nipples, pinching it, digging her nails in. She shouted again, unable to pull away, her hands clenched in frustration.

The Cheshire Cat let out another growl, angry that he was unable to do anything.

"It's rude not to answer your Queen!" The Queen yelled, as she dug her nails into Alice's left breast, squeezing it in a painful fashion.

"ARGH!" Alice cried out, "Bloody hell, yes!! It fucking hurts, okay?!"

The Queen smirked. "That's better. Now, the drug should be working in a few more minutes. Tell your sweet queen how it feels, when you start feeling the effects..."

Alice's eyes held such a burning hate for the queen, and the expression on her face would had easily scared anybody currently, for it seemed like she was angrier than she had ever been before.
However, deep inside Alice's fear was increasing. She kept on wondering what the heck the Queen injected in her.
She wondered what the fuck it was... something to knock her out, dope her up, orse-rse--poison?

The Queen smirked. "My sweet Alice. You are probably wondering what Queen injected into you. But Queen shall tell you only after it starts working. Oh, pardon me..... Forgot that Queen promised you that Queen would refrain from speaking in the third person. So to pass the time... I shall entertain you with my tale of how Queen came about to rule the Wonderland Kingdom. Will not that be fun?"

Alice muttered, "You're a barmy loon, so why would I care about your past?"

The Queen went on as if Alice had not said that.

"I was not evenrincrincess, or borne of a royal family. In fact, my mother was actually a resident of chess land.
She was just a beautiful handmaiden of the white queen, who caught the eye of the jabberwocky. For she was a pretty little thing to him... hair black as the night, and a lovely golden skin.
The Jabberwocky of Chess land was like what the Cheshire cat was to wonderland...he was a menace, lived in woods and liked to hunt and terrify people.
However, the Jabberwocky was a very ugly being, and the handmaiden had completely no desire to be with the Jabberwocky...even if he had promised that he would not terrorize the Kingdom where she lived at.
But the Jabberwocky would not take No for an answer, and abducted her.
But the handmaiden's love, the one she had her heart set on, came to rescue her. I believey mey made a poem about it. Something about the Vopal blade and the mimsy outgrabes.
Anyway, the Jabberwocky was slain; but the damage was already done.
For the Handmaiden did not have her chastity intact, and in a short time she was pregnant... much to the anguish to the woman and her family.
After I was born, they were so horrified by my appearance. That they cast me out into the woods after I was old enough to stand on my own two feet, and to eat anything within my reach.
I can still remember sitting there in the woods, alone... waiting for my beautiful mother to come back for me.."

The Queen paused for a long while, as if deep in thought. Or as if she was remembering something vividly.

"But she never came back. And so, I learned to fed for my own. And It was then I started discovering my own true power.... and It was also when I started discovering all forms of sex, along with many ways of getting what I wanted. Speaking of sex. Do you know what truly turns me on?"

She turned around, directing that last question at Alice.

"Gee, I can only wonder... is it Inflicting pain on others?" Alice said, sarcastically.

The Queen walked around, so that she was standing directly in front of Alice.
"Close.. Very close. But that is not what I take so much pleasure in." The Queen said, as she ran her hands up Alice's chest, and then wrapped her hands around Alice's neck.
As she started squeezing Alice's neck, she answered, "What truly turns me on. Is hinghing the very life out of people. Seeing the look in their eyes, as they are brought to the very edge of death. It's so wonderful, so exciting. To play around with them like that. I also like to see that look in their eyes just as their head is separated from their head, so fast... that it doesn't even resister in the mind. Until it's too late... It truly excites me so."

Alice gasped for air, struggling against the pain of the queen's squeezing fingers.

Seeing this was too much for the Cheshire cat. Normally, He would had agreed with the Queen... But somehow it was different especially when she was toying with the life of the only person that he actually genuinely liked at all, to consider a friend of his.
And he did not really get off on that sort of thing sexually... Hly dly did that sort of thing to feel the rush of power, and mainly also for survival. Since normally the ones who dared to go though his woerrierritories were nothing but food to him.

"Stop it!" He shouted, struggling against his chains again.

The Queen smirked, amused at the Cheshire Cat displaying a soft spot as if he was just some common housecoat. Just as she let go of Alice's neck, a rush of electric current ran up and down Alice's body.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Alice let out an extremely loud shriek of pain that would had shattered any normal people's eardrums.
However, to theen een her screams were like music.
"My Dear Alice, what such lovely voice you have... I could listen to that scream all day."

The Queen walked around, to view Alice's back.
The latest currents had the now turned the once soft and smooth back into one big burn mark.
There was red scorch marks, boils, and large massive red rashes.

The Queen admired the wounds, even going far as to drag her fingernails against the wound.
Alice flinched from the touch, tryiot tot to give the queen sat satisfaction of hearing her gasp in pain.

"You know, that is the funny thing about electricity. You would not think that it would leave marks like a burn mark. But just like fire, it burns... and it scorches with such terrible intensity..." The Queen remarked casually, as if She was observing something in a science experiment, rather than torturing some teenager girl.

The cat growled again, and he said: "Tell me, do you intend to kill Alice? Because if that is the case, I'm going to break out of those chains and kill YOU for doing this to her! After all, it's pointless for me to act like some damn housecoat if you expect to kill her anyway.."

The Queen turned to face the cat, and she asked with one eyebrow raised: "Oh, you want the life of a dear one on your hands? Fine with me. But keep in mind that I may not kill her, and you break out of your chains to avenge the treatment on your dear sweet Alice would be all for naught. After all, there is something I want from her. And I need her alive for that."

The cat was not sure if she was bing, ing, but he grew quiet anyway.
He glared at her with resentment in his eyes.

Alice's chest was painfully heaving, as she gasped for air. Her lungs felt as if they were on fire. And it was not surprising, when she thought about it. The Queen just had nearly choked her to death, and followed up with an electric current that felt like it had travelled right into her lungs.
That was not exactly a very healthy combination. She found herself coughing, and felt something warm and moist drip out of her mouth. Along with some of it on her chest from when she coughed.
She opened her eyes, and then looked down. On her chest was blood... blood that had came out of her mouth.
It was then she made the realization that her lungs were probably bleeding. Probably why she could not breathe too good.
As if THAT was not enough, she felt the last speck of her rational mind slipping away... she felt as if she was being pulled into a blissfully ignorant state where she was starting to feel nothing but peace.
Alice thought to herself, 'it must be the drugs starting to take effect on me... nether that, or I'm dying.'

"Anyway, where were I? Oh yes, my story on how I got to be Queen.." The queen said, turning back towards Alice again. She went on as if anybody in the room would be completely be interested in her past. Only the headless servant listened attentively, which was odd Since it had no ears at all.

"Anyway, my passion for squeezing the life out of anybody, got me into my hobby of collecting body parts of the people that were truly most memorable to me. It was not always heads... But when I met the man that was to be my first husband, a duke that was visiting Chess land from wonderland, It was when I started getting into collecting heads.
You see, He had been travelling though the parts of woods where I lived... and the only why I did not lure him in and kill him was because he had the loveliest eyes and face I ever saw. And he was an intriguing man.
And I, with my powers were able to enchant him into asking me to marry me, and take me back to wonderland with him. You see, he was a believer in the soul-- that the eyes were the ww tow to the soul. He believed that even after a person was dead... you could look at the head, with the eyes still open. You could see parts of that person that made him or her so wonderful while they were alive.
It was at that time I had started up a modest collection-- 20 heads. Mostly The duke's friends, his family, and his servants. However, d nod not kill the duke himself.
At least not after I met the king and he fell in love with me anyway. I had then perfected the Art of keeping the Head itself alive, even although it was separated from the body.
How, you ask me. It's a secret of mine. All in the perfected chemicals that keep the brain activity going for a very long, long time.
In fact, I just injected you with that chemical... along with morphine and a mind-altering substance."

She informed Alice, saying the last part as she smiled at Alice. The smile was not a normal one. In fact, it was one that was filled with Malice.

Alice said nothing, although she could not say very much at this point. She was just having a hard time breathing alone.
However, she was once again filled with fear.
For she could not help but wonder if that was the fate that the Queen had in mind for her--to be a living head on a wall, trapped in a castle for all eternity as part of some creepy collection, hoping for escape... but knowing fully that she could not do so on her own... for she would had lost her own mobility along with her own body.
No, that would be compete hell for her!
She opened her mouth to try to force out the words that she wanted The Cheshire cat to break free and kill the Queen before she could do this to anybody else. Especially Since Alice would rather die than have that happen to herself.
But then she remembered Adonis.
He was still out there in wonderland, and Alice still had to find out if he was all right.
She felt parts of herself cursing this fact, that she still had a reason to keep alive even though she knew in her heart that it would maybe be better for her to die, here and now.

"The sweet duke was one of my first successful living heads in my collection now. After the death of his body. The King of Wonderland proposed to me, and Since I appear to anybody as the person that everyone loves the most, nobody objected to my wishes that I marry him.
That is how I came to be the Queen of Hearts, with him being the King of Hearts.
Ah, those was the days... when there was still so many people with so many lovely heads, with such life in them. I looked for any excuse to yell, 'off with their heads!' so that I could collect their lovely heads, and also watch them die. That stupid King kept on overriding my orders though. That was why I beheaded him myself, and then afterwards nobody dared question me."

The Queen sighed happily, remembering all the people she had sent to the execution block.

The Cat shook his head. "What a waste of bodies... all that meat. I can understand killing people for sport. But to waste their bodies like that, it's such a shame. I only kill if I need to eat..."

The Queen smirked. "But of course. What do you think that I'm daft? I realized that after some of those bodies started piling up, making an awful stink. Ever Since, I've been having my servants cook the meat. When you were in the guest dining room, you were eating the meat of my former victims that were here last. To be more exact, annoying heroes who thought they could stop Queen. But just like all others, they could not help but hand over their heart to their sweet Queen.."

The Cat had a thoughtful look on his face. "So that was why the meat tasted so good and so familiar. I did not think they were just from any mere animals.."

The Queen shrugged. "I do not eat meat very much. I use it mostly to lure guests in, especially those who are found of meat. That way, I have a way to get rid of all the bodies, and I keep on collecting heads."

The cat hated to admit it, but that was indeed very clever.

The Queen then walked directly up to Alice, and lifted her head.
Alice looked at the Queen, squarely right in the eyes.
The Queen just smiled execpantly, as waiting for her to say something.
"What is it that you want of me, anyway? I wish that you would just come out with it already, instead of torturing me.." She managed to get the words out.

The Queen grinned, that smile of malice nearly stretching to her ears.
"But my Dear Alice, That was exactly the point. I want your spirt to be crushed, your will weak... So that you will do anything I say... that you will tell me everything I want to know..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you enjoyed the chapter. The torture scene was especially hard for me to write.... I could actually feel my back being in pain, just from vividly picturing the torture e wae was put though. *shivers*

Anyway... next chapter, you get to see Adonis and the Hatter meets Time himself!
And what is it exactly that the Queen wants of Alice?
Find out on the next instillation of Alice the 19th~!!
