Alice...was dead.

Sad to say, Alice didn't survive the fall down the stairs...but there was a moment halfway down the stairs that Lewis thought that Alice was going to vanish. If only she had. He would have prefered haveing her disappear rather than having her life cut so short like that. Now, here Lewis Carrol stood at her grave. The whole family had gathered for the funeral and the Alice was buried in the local cemetary next to her grandmother whom she loved so much.

Now, Lewis stood alone as he was the very last one to leave. With the sun setting and a soft spring breeze blowing, he blammed himself for it all. If he hadn't gone behind her back and got with that publisher about HER stories, this never would have happened. They never would hav argued, she wouldn't have ran and she...

But that was beyond his control, all he could do now was stand there and stare at her tomb stone on which was enscribed her name, her birthdate, her deathdate and a short inscription. Alone with it was a stunning lithrograph of Alice. It was that image that he foucused on, almost as it somehow it would will the real Alice back to life somehow...but it wouldn't. It wouldn't work even if he stood there untill the end of time. She was dead and there was nothing he could do to fix it...what made it unbearable was the fact that she died with biterness towards him that he would never amend...

"Uncle," came the soft whiper of a female's voice on the wind. Lewis looked up and gasped to see the ghostly image of Alice...but she wasn't dressed in her Victorian garbs. She was dressed very much like Spi Spirit of Wonderland, but her cloths were green.

"A...Alice?" Lewis asked, not sure if what he was seeing was real or not. Either way, the spirit of Alice smiled gently.

"Uncle, I forgive you and love you still. I want you to publish those stories, it is time to world to know of my adventures," Alice said.

"And what of you?" Lewis asked curiously.
"I live in Wonderland now, with my own family," Alice said as she placed a hand on her stomach. Lewis gasped lightly at this as Alice smiled again.

"The time has come for me to sya goodbye Uncle. Perhwe wwe will meet again in the future," Alice sai"Per"Perhaps," Lewis said when he got over the shock. With one last smile, Alice turned to her right and walked away as the spirit of Dinah stayed close to her heels. Lewis watched as they headed towards a giant oak in the cemetary where what looked to be a purple man cat waited for them. Alice joined up with him, kissed him and then they vanished into the tree.

And that was the last Alice was seen in our world ever again.
