visits and Rebirths
Visits and RebirthsThe next morning, Leon awoke to the sounds of voices. When his vision cleared and he looked around, he saw he was back in the cottage his father owned, and the two trucks he had filled at the side of his bed. He got up and opened his bedroom door. Needless to say everyone was surprised to see him. Everyone questioned him about what had happened and why he has back. Leon answered all their questions, and gave them the two trunks of money and clothes. His brothers took the items without hesitating and began to try them on, none of them thanking Leon for bringing them until their father told them off.'You are all ungrateful. Leon and the Beast gave you these things and you have not thanked them once, nor did you thank them for the things I brought back. You are all very selfish.' And with that, the father went outside. The brothers were deeply ashamed. Each of them in turn thanked Leon for bringing them the money and clothes and then sat in silence, thinking of what they had done.Leon spent the next few days with his family. They all spent time with him individually and as a group. But finally, Leon came to miss the Beast and the great house. His dreams also became worse. The woman in white started to plead with him to return to the castle and rescue the prince, and kept reminding him that looks weren't everything. Finally, on the fifth day of his visit, Leon bid his family goodnight and goodbye and went to bed. He took the ring the Beast had given him and said to it 'I wish to return to the Beast.' Shortly thereafter, he fell asleep. The next morning he awoke to the toll of a bell, and found his food was awaiting him in the Beast's castle as per usual. Leon spent the day in the castle reading the history books. Finally, he got to the last one. The book claimed that in the castle, not so long ago, a prince had lived. He had been very selfish and all of the servants were slowly fleeing. One night, an old woman came to see the Prince. She offered him a rose in return for shelter in the cold and bitter night. The prince turned her away. In a flash of light she became the faery that she really was with the disguise of an old woman falling away. The Prince had begged forgiveness, but the faery refused. She turned him into a hideous monster and all the servants were free to leave. After that, the book told of a man coming seaking shelter, and of the son he offered in his place. Leon recognized the story as his own, and that the book had filled in his history here on its own. He now knew what had happened to the Prince, and knew that night what he must do. So as evening came, the bell tolled and dinner was served, but the Beast did not show. Leon ate as he waited for the Beast to arrive, but he didn't come. In a state of worry, Leon went all around the castle, searching every room looking for the Beast, but there was nothing. Finally, Leon decided the Beast must be in the gardens. He took up a warm cloak and went out into the night. The lights in the castle shone through the windows and lit his path. He searched the gardens and the stables, but there was still no sign of the Beast. Leon called and called until his throat was hoarce and there was still no answer. Finally, Leon was about to give up when a pathway was revealed to him that he had not seen before. He followed it. The path was decorated with many wild flowers and other strange plants. Finally, he came upon a cave, and inside it was the Beast, lying on the ground in a weak state. 'Beast!' Leon called. The Beast looked at him with a vague expression on his face.'Leon, you returned to me.' the Beast exclaimed in a weak tone of voice. Leon hugged the Beast.'I'm sorry for leaving, please get up.' He said. The Beast mearly sighed.'I want to, but I am too weak.' The Beast answered. 'But I must ask you, will you marry me?' the Beast asked again.'I will.' Leon answered. The Beast smiled weakly then closed his eyes. Leon began to fear. 'I do love you.' Leon answered. The Beast's body rose into the air, and white light began to stream out of him. Then when the light faded, there was the prince in all his beauty and glory. His dark hair falling around his face and his smile gleaming in the little light there was in the cave. Leon was astounded that the story was true. The Prince held out a hand so that Leon could stand. The Prince hugged him and then looked him in the eyes.'And I love you.' he said. 'All this time I have waited for someone to free me. The faery who did this to me was trying to teach me to be more open, and when I found you and your father, I discovered I could be. Now come, we have much to do.' the prince led Leon back to the castle. Inside, lots of servants were running around and getting things ready, and in the middle of the Entrance Hall was the woman in white. She looked at the Prince and hugged him, then turned to leon and hugged him too.'You have saved my child from the fate he brought upon himself, and now we can live happily again.' The woman said. In the following days, the wedding was planned, and all of Leon's Brothers and his father were brought to the castle to live. They were all astounded that Leon was in love with such a man, but were happy that he had something of his own. Th wedding went forward and Leon and the Prince were married. Just before they could finish walking down the isle, a white light shone through the door and it opened to show the faery that had bespelled the Prince.'Prince Jay, for your learning of love and the values of sharing with others, I will bless you with a child who is of you and your lover.' the Faery siad. She waved a wand and a light come out of both of the men. The faery then disappeared. Not knowing when they would have a child, or how, they went through the doors to their room. Inside was a bed made for both of them with their names engraved in the head and the finest sheets they could want. And so they went to bed and slept, knowing that things would be better from then on.
