Betrayed

An hour had passed by and I couldn't sleep. Something odd washed over me and I felt like someone was watching me from outside. I stayed in my bed, not wanting to deal with any preternatural bad guys but I finally got up when I couldn't take it anymore.

I looked on the head board where my browning and fire starter was but found a note. "Anita, as a birthday present I am getting the browning and fire stater cleaned. I've also have some new toys to give you.-Edward."

I cursed but grabbed the new gun from Jean Claude. The grip was odd but I dealt with it, it was better to be armed. I went out of the porch, the glock in my right hand. I made sure the gun was loaded, surprisingly it was.

I crept away from my house into the woods were I could feel someones presence there. Fear ran through me like a second heartbeat. It was dark but I could make out the trees, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Suddenly I was on my back looking face up lying on the ground. A man was lying on top of me, preventing me from getting up. I pulled the trigger of the glock but I could clearly see that nothing but beebee gun bullets were loaded inside. They richocheted off the man's stomach. I looked up at him and my vision went foggy. His beautiful face was hit by the moonlight.

"jean Claude, what in the fucking hell are you doing?!" wordlessly, but to my protest he carried me to my house. I didn't know if he was a good guy or a bad guy anymore. Had he given me that fake glock so I would be defenseless against him?

The vampire open the house door like we were a pair of newly weds on our honey moon. In a calm manner but with a smug grin he place me on the bed and retrieved the handcuffs from his gift box. He locked one cuff on my right hand, I dropped the gun, it was defenseless, I was defenseless. He ran the other cuff around the bed post and on my left hand. My heart was hammering in my head. I was afraid and angry at myself.

I had let my guard down, not only that but I was aroused by his presence. I vowed to never let love get my guard down. Jean Claude had betrayed me.
