Just then, Kendra came through the door with Oria. She stopped dead when her eyes caught the sight of what was in the room. Oria effectively ran right into her sister’s back. Peeking around her, the comment was made, “Wow. Who called the Stud Ranch?”
All three men beamed. They loved getting praise from the girls, no matter the form. They started straightening invisible wrinkles and running fingers through unruly hair. Finally, after enough showing off was reached, Edward spoke.
“We’re going out.”
The girls beamed! “We are?!”
“We are, you’re not,” Severus said.
Remus nodded. “Yeah, official business. You can’t come.”
Glaring, Kendra declared, “Oh, no. It doesn’t work that way. If you’re going, so are we, dammit.”
Oria nodded. “Yeah. We’re going too.”
All three men grumbled. “We’re trying to find out who’s trying to kill you. We’ve got a lead, but we can’t follow it if we’ve got to baby-sit, now can we?” Edward gave his pointed glare to each girl.
To this, Kendra replied, “That’s where we could help. What better way to draw someone out than with exactly what they’re after?”
After thinking about it for a moment, Remus spoke. “You know, Edward, I hate to say this but I’d have to agree with her on this one. If we take everyone, they’d be well watched and we’d have double the eyes, too.”
Severus scowled at Remus, to which the wolfman very immaturely stuck his tongue out. “If these clothes are any indication as to the place we are going, it will not be safe no matter the amount of eyes on them, Lupin.”
Kendra turned to Oria. They just don’t know us that well, do they, sis?”
Oria shook her head. “Apparently not.”
They both turned back to the men in the room. Kendra cleared her throat for attention. “We’re going. That’s final.”
To this, Edward visibly gave them each a very thorough, very lingering once-over. “And what, pray tell, do you plan on wearing, Dove?”
Kendra gave a wicked grin, pulling her wand from her robe pocket. “Never underestimate a witch.” With a flick and a swish, the girls were both very suitably attired for the outing. Oria was black from ear tip to toes, complete with fishnet fingerless gloves that ended at her elbows and spiked dog collar, while Kendra was sporting a short black PVC mini-skirt and matching mini-tank. Both girls wore three inch heeled black PVC boots; Oria’s zippered, Kendra’s buckled.
Oria gave a flick of her own wand, and the girls had flawless hair and make-up to compliment their looks. “Correction, Kendra. Never underestimate two witches.”
