Chapter two: Jarlaxle Baerne

Nari stared at her bound wrists. Trying to keep her attention from the human holding her waist with one hand. She glanced out over at the mountain scenary and smiled lightly." Artemis!" Nari glanced up and over towards the dark elf leader''s voice. He rode over along side the man he had called Artemis.

But he glanced at Nari," Whats your name?"

" Like you deserve to know my name." Nari snapped.

" Ooh, your quite the fisty one. " He then leaned in closer to her." I like."

The man called Artemis cleared his throat." She is a fine catch. Lloth will find this one delious."

Nari''s eyes widened with panic," So you were serious!"

The drow chuckled." Of course I was. Because being the filthy, barbaric drow your people make me out to be. I would be a fool not to give you over to Lloth."

Nari glared as the drow began saying something in the drow langauge. He looked at her and smiled slyly. Then chuckled as he finished his statement to Artemis." Here give her to me." He said in the regular surface language.

Artemis quickly slid Nari onto the drow''s horse. Nari gasped as he felt his hand rest upon her thigh. Not her waist." Mmmm Your hair smells so intoxicating.I would imagine that the rest of you would taste just as good as it smells." He said taking in a long sniff of her hair.

Nari decided to change the subject as the horses had begun to move." Where are you taking me?"

" Menzoberranzan. Where I will toss you to the Spider Queen." He said.

Nari nodded and tried to yank away from him as his hand tried to caress closer to in between her legs.He chuckled slightly and removed his hand and held it around her waist firmly," Whats funny?"Nari asked.

The drow smiled and answered," For someone as willing as yourself to come with me. You are trying hard resist me."

" It is not hard."

" Why? Am I not as irrestiable to you as I am to other women I have come in contact with?"

" You? Ha! For one thing you lack morals, you are...bald! And you wear an eyepatch that seemingly changes eyes." The drow snickered and moved the eyepatch over to the other eye.Nari''s brow furrowed," Then...why do you wear it? Your eyes seem fine. I bet you think that you look more dasing in it." She mused.

" First of all my lady you are the first woman and elf to have ever assumed that. I wear it to keep my mind reading sisters from reading my thoughts should they be the thoughts of a traitor." He explained.

" So it is magic then?" She asked. He nodded." Oh. So I''m curious what did you say to that human over there?" She asked.

" I simply made a bet with him that I could have you on your back beneath my body in five minutes once we reach camp.Which would be in a day . For now, we are headed to a town called Calimport" He answered.

Nari gave him an evil look and turned her head away as he chuckled at her.He was greatly amused by her.Nari looked around for a while. She knew that for the safety of her Village she had to go. But She was not willing to be sacrificed to some Spider with boobs, without a fight. She had to think of something and fast.Abruptly she slammed her elebow into the drow''s stomach. Who had been caught off guard and failed to grasp her as she leapt from his horse and took towards the cliff.Which the road was closet to.

" Damn it!" The drow yanked his horse to a stop. The rest of him men, including Artemis stopped too. The leader leapt off his horse and took off his hat and eye patch, tossing them to Artemis." You men go onward to Calimport. Leave the girl to me." He said and and made his way towards the hill. " I don''t have time for this." He muttered to himself and leapt over to a near by tree. He climbed it. He could hear Nari''s noises of struggling. Once he reached the top of the tree was fully able to look out. He noticed Nari trying to grabbed the bushes as she rolled down the hill bit failed to." Watch out for trees and rocks, lady!" He called to her.

He rolled his eyes and leapt back off the tree and kept pefect balance on his feet and he slid down after the girl. However lost track of her as he reached the bottom. He glanced around slightly. He smirked. Having been said to be the greatest and most talented tracker. He knew right away where she had retreated.

He wondered forward for several minutes and saw the remains of the girl''s rope. It was upon the ground in front of a big dark cave. " To easy." He said to himself with a smirk. And walked forward into cave.

Inside it was dark and there was the stench of rotting flesh. Bone everywhere scattered near them, knights. Knights dead, their flesh and bone scorched. The drow knew for sure, the girl had retreated into the nest of a dragon." I have the keenest ( is that even a word?)eyes and ears. I can see better then you in the darkness." He said looking around. Hoping that the girl had not ventured far. Quickly he turned and caught something that had been thrown at him. It was a dragon egg. He looked at it for a second then rolled his eyes. And glanced over at a rock. For that was where the egg came flying at him. He smirked and gingerly put the egg down." Come out come out. Wherever you are." He started.

Nari, slowly peered over the rock she had been hidding behind. The drow was not there anymore. She gently stood and walked around the rock. Abruptly she gasped as a hand clamped over her mouth and painfully held her wrists together behind her back." What made you think for a second you could get away from me so...." The drow paused and glanced up and ahead of them. There was the sound of a low growl." I do not need this right now." He said to himself as the dragon approached forward.

" Okay. Listen to me. We are going to have to trust eachother if we both intend on getting out of this alive." He began in a whisper." I''m going to let go of your mouth and wrists. Back up slowly with me."

Nari nodded and the drow gently let her go, both began to back slowly as the the dragon continued to slowly approach. The drow cautiously dug around in this small pouch he had at his side on his belt." When I say turn and run, do it. Trust me." He directed her. Again all Nari could do was nod." Ready?" he asked as his slender fingers touched what they were looking for. Within one fluid motion, he whipped out a small orb of light" Now!" he called. Blinding the dragon for a moment.

Giving them a moment to run from the cave. But the dragon followed. The drow ran close behind Nari. And glance up. The dragon was swouping down to claim them. He looked at Nari and dove at her. Pinning her close to the ground behind a rock" Move it!" He called standing. Nari did not hesitate. She stood and both elves made for the trees in the forest.
They were far from safe. The dragon still flew dangerously above them. Nari caught sight of a lake yards away. She smiled and bit her lower lip. The drow glanced at her wide eyed as she yanked his sword from it''s case at his hip. She smiled. And took off towards the lake." I''ve an idea!" She called to him.

" Lady, stop!" The drow called following.

Nari reached the shore of the lake. The dragon infront of her inches into the water. Nari smiled and took off down the edge further in the shore and dove into the water. The dragon followed. While the drow stood there curious and perplexed.

Nari''s head came up and she began to shout a spell in a langauge, the drow somewhat knew, but hardly. The dragon flew up out of the water roaring as these hands made of water grabbed it by it''s tail and yanked it under. But it was taking Nari with it. She cried out as it bit down onto her leg and drug her under. The drow could see blood floating in the water. The drow immedaitly dove in and swam around the blood. Under the water. Nari was unconsious. Bit tightly held the drow''s sword. Which was inches from a great stab wound she had given to the dragon. Which was now dead.

The drow shook it off and wrapped his arm around her waist and swam to the surface. Where he gently laid her down upon the rocks. He stared down at her and the massive bite mark in her right leg. He then stared up at her again. And noticed something that she had once hidden under her collar. The Spider Pendant.He knew right away who he had given it to. He remembered so well. That is was once his. Had it been almost two decades since he had entered those Sea elven feilds?

He shook it off and fished in his pouch again. This time he brought out a small vial. With a clearish blue liquid in it. He decided to get he consious first. So, he slightly opened her mouth and pinched her nose. He leaned his head down and pressed his lips upon hers and breathed into her mouth. Several seconds passed. He lifted his mouth from her as he felt water come up and out her throat. Her eyes opened and she coughed up the water.

Staring up at the drow. Nari smiled lightly at him wioth gratefulness." Your sword." She muttered and weakly lifted it to him. The drow accepted and cased it.

" So. Do I deserve to know you name yet?" He asked.

Nari glanced up at the vial he held. And reached for it, but he moved it back from her grasp." Your name."He said firmly.

" Nari. I have no last name. So you can just call me, Nari." She introduced herself.

" There now. Was that so hard?" He asked handing the the healing potion. Nari gulped it down. The pain
remained. But the bleeding stopped.

" Now then. What of you. What is your name?" She asked him.

The drow stood and took a charming bow to her." I am Jarlaxle Baerne."
