The Voice from the Tower

As Raphael continued to hide his friends he thought of a way to get them out of the house. He took two bags and told his friends to climb into them. When they had done so, he tied the bags up and set them aside, making sure they could breathe and they knew what to do. Raphael then went to see Blue Beard.
‘Tell me, my lover, what is it that you would like to do with me the most upon an intermit level?’ Raphael said. He stood at Blue Beard’s desk, looking at him with a coy smile. His beautiful dark blond hair, short and styled, gleamed in the morning sun.

‘And so you shall have it if you do something for me,’ Raphael said.
‘What is it I should do for you?’ Blue Beard asked.
‘I have loaded two bags with goods and gold for the familys of my lost friends. You are to take them to their houses today,’ Raphael said.

After an hour of trecking through the forest, Blue Beard looked around but saw that he was well out of sight from the tower. He sat down to rest.
‘I can still see you, keep going,’ came what he thought was Raphael’s voice, but was really Raymond from inside his sack.
‘Bother you and your requests,’ Blue Beard said. He continued walking. After another hour, the bags seemed to be getting heavier and heavier. He looked around and still saw that he was out of sight from the tower. He sat down to rest.
‘I can see you, get going,’ came the voice again. In a spit of rage, Blue Beard got up and kept going.
Now it may not surprise you that Raphael could indeed not see Blue Beard as he made his way through the forest. But he did go to the tower, and from there he sent a distress signal to the town, which could see the tower perfectly. Shortly, he got a reply that help was coming.

When help reached the Blue Beard estate, Raphael explained what had happened to his friends and to the other partners Blue Beard took on. Raphael had taken the master key while Blue Beard was distracted and he used it to unlock the door. When the city guards saw what was there, they were horrified. Raphael hid them all by the doors to the estate and then waited for Blue Beard to return.
Blue Beard, who had come a long way, delivered the sacks to the houses he had been asked to and was on his way home. When he was out of sight, the parents opened the bags to find their son’s safe and well.
Blue Beard soon returned home. Raphael pretended that all was normal. He then took Blue Beard into the main hall and asked him to wait there. He then blew on a whistle and the city guards came out of hiding. Before Blue Beard knew what had happned, he was stabbed and killed.

Now it may surprise you that Blue Beard had not left a will to declare who was to have his things after he died. Some money had been left to charity, but otherwise there was no heir to his fortunes and estates. The courts decided that because Raphael had been his technical ‘Lady of the House,’ he was to inherit everything. So shortly afterwards, Raphael and his friends took up the estate, and lived well together until they followed their own paths.
Ronald met with a worldly traveler and soon set sail for other lands with his noew lover, and Raymond moved back to the town with a man who had loved him but was never bold enough to say. Raphael moved to Blue Beard’s other estate and there he met a pleasant man and he too lived happily ever after, or as happily as one might with such a bloody mess to clean.

A/N: I know this story is only two chapters, but there is no version of Blue Beard that is that long, even with added sex scens. So I am sorry, but there will be more stories soon.
