Part of their World
[Side not: I dont know the Princes name in the book... I kinda forgot, but I'm going to give him a name. David, cause I liked Erik who was in the movie. So, yeah! Back to the story :3]The Sun was sinking into the waters grace, letting the last light of yellow and red glow. Night would soon come and part of her task would start. Settled upon the warm sand, feeling the gentle caresses of each wave that touched her yellow fin. Tightly in her grasp she held the bottle, her heart racing, her eyes narrowed. Nervouse, happy, scared. All emtions playing in her body at once. Every mintue that passed felt longer and longer, teasing her on her wait. But in the back of her mind, she rambled a thought that never did cross her path.... Was this worth it?To go and kill this man, but then to be forever owned by the sea witch. Was such a fate bareable, just for a few moments of pride? Her eyes looked up and the last of the glowing light faded out and with out a second thought. She tossed back the drink and let the strong liquid inside spread down her throat into her body. A moment... two... Nothing seem to happen. She stared at the empty glass, her mouth parted in pants and gags from the taste. SO awful and vile, but she beared it. But nothing was happening. Clenching the glass, she snarled, tears forming in her eyes. Was.... Was she to late? Bowing her head, her hair brushing at her cheeks, she broke a little sob. She was to late...Covering her face with her hand, her other tossing the bottle away, she sobbed lightly. But all as her tears fell and her heart broke, a tingle began to hit her fin. With a sniffle she looked down, the tingle... it got stronger.. A frown cracked her face. Soon pain hit her and she muffled out a squick. Burning pain, as thou something was grabbing ehr fin and ripping it in two. She began to glow as her body trembled from the uncontrolable reaction. Her body flung itself onto the sand as her body try to surpress it. The pain, it was growing fair to much, gettign stronger with every heart beat and every pluse. Her fin was being ripped in two, every scale falling off, her bones breaking, cracking into a new set. Tears fell down her eyes and her mind could no longer keep back the pain. Throwing her head back, she let out a cry, echoing into the night air, startling the very sea gulls that rested near by.************A scream...Prince David looked over his shoulder from the sudden sound. After months of walking the beach, he never found his friend... His dear friend with flowing silk like hair and the eyes of pure innocent... She had gone missing the night of his wedding and somewhere in his heart. He hoped he would find her again, back upon the beach where they frist met. But no matter how many times he walked, how many times he gazed. He never found her. His new wife was resting peacefully in his chambers, due to expect a new child. His frist child, a joyish moment in his kingdom. How he wished his friend could be here to wittness such a moment in his life. Why did she leave him? Where did she go? Holding up the latern he held, giving him light to guide. He made his way, following where the sound had come.Perhaps a maiden was being attacked and was seeking help. Perhaps a wild animal had fallen under cruel fates hands? Climbing over the large rocks that postioned out of the cold sand, his boots crunched the shells of the sea with every step. He looked. Another scream... this one more painful.Someone was indeed in pain. Holding his light up, he moved closer, his eyes narrowed to see through the darkness. The cries were gone, the sounds of the gentle waves and flapping wings of birds greeting him. "What was that..?" Stopping stuped, his arm held high for the light to reach, he frowned in confusion. The screams came from this area, but there was no one in site? Only the endless strech of sand and water, with some logs and rocks and even a bundle onthe shore line."Bundle?" Moving close, his light held out. His eyes widen in pure shock. A women laid before him. Dropping to his knees, hope filled his heart. His friend, had she returned to him? Was she alive?! She laid on her side and as he reached, touching her sand covered shoulder. He pulled her back, letting her lay upon her back. The lantern fell onto the sand as David stared in shock. His past replaying in his mind. A young women... not hid old friend.. But another laid before him. Golden red locks, chopped and laying limp on the sand as her body laid full view for his eyes. Golden tan skin, sparkling from the sand that covered. Her breasts riseing and falling slowly with each breath she took, bareing shells that covered. His eyes trailed down and his mouth dried. Her flat stomach lead to her nakid waste. Long slender legs, beautiful then any other he had seen lingered curled, being lapped at the waters touch. His groin hit suddenly with desire as his eyes found her womanhood, exposed greedy to his eyes. So beautiful.. A muffle sound took his eyes away, gazing back up to her face. Her eyes were open, misted and sleepy. She looked up at him, confused and dazed. "Can you speak?" Lily's mouth felt dry and thick, her throat sore from her cries. But reaching up, her trembling hand touching his rough jaw, which was soon covered by one of his own. Her lips moved, but no sound came out. "Where did you come from?" He asked lightly, holding her hand gently to hsi chest. "Who are you?" Again he watched her mouth move, her body looking like it was struggling to form words. Was she like his dear friend? COuld she not talk? But with an effort, her lips parted and a single word left her, rough and struggled as thou she did not know what it ment."Mer.....Mermaid..." Her hand went limp and the darkness swifted back into her mind, castign her back into her deep sleep. David watched in awe and confusion as this creature slept. "...Mermaid?"
