An ocean
separates me
from my love
its wide and deep
I'd swim the whole
of its vastness

these spears
pricking my sides
sharp blades

always they
are on the attack
visors down
dressed all in black
everything pure
withdrawn
in the night
with its stars so bright
below only strife

the still and quiet
a happy child
flies his kite
pushed high by fair winds

pink or white
over the killing field
