Chapter Three

I took the stairs a lot faster then I should have. I ended up crashing into him in the bottom of the stairs. He caught me though.

“EMBRY!” I said laughing. He had a look on his face of pure shock. He turned an looked at Alice.

“I thought you couldn’t see us” Embry said. “I can see through the shields now” Alice said. I smacked Embry on the chest to get his attention.

“Sorry , hi Elena” he said pulling me into a crushing hug. He was burning up. “ Embry , don’t take this the wrong way but you really hot” I said touching his forehead. “I’m fine” he said laughing.

“ We so need to go talk” I said getting up. “Yeah , we do” he said grabbing my hand. “Let me get a coat” I said. I turned around to find one in Jaspers hand.

“I figured you would need one” he said. “Thanks uncle Jazz” I said giving him a hug.Embry had a strange look on his face , when we got outside to the truck that was his.

“How is he your uncle?”Embry asked arching an eye brow. “Great uncle four times removed” I said. “Really?” he asked. “Yeah” I said. “Ok , then I hope you don’t have a problem with what I’m going to say” he said.
I looked at him knowing already. I had know for a long time , he would be the one I ended up with.

“You would think if I know all about the vamps , I know about the protectors” I said. “You do?” he asked. “I remember the legends” I said.

I looked at the only person , who ever cared about me , when I was younger. We dated all of three months before I had to leave. He was my best friend also.

“Then don’t be shocked , when I do this” he said pulling me into his arms. His mouth crushed mine. His teeth nipped at my bottom lip.

“Do you want to come with me an see the other guys?” he asked. “Sure” I said.

“There all going to be shocked when they realize it was you all along” he said stroking my face. “I know” I said.
