Waking up three days later

Charlie’s POV

I just got off the phone with my little sister. She sounded so different, unlike herself. Something must be wrong for her to sound like she did. I needed to get over to the Cullen’s as fast as I could. With my bad luck, I just knew deep in my gut that something bad has happened to her. I just hope to God that whatever it was wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be. I sighed to myself as I rub my hand threw my hair and put on my hat and headed out.

I got into my cruiser and drove to the Cullen’s. As I drove all the way there, I was tempted to put on the siren and go even faster. When I finally got there, I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

I have tried to drive normally, but I was driving like a crazy (SOB). I couldn’t get the thought of my little sister being hurt out of my mind. The Cullen’s probably heard me come up the driveway. Damn them and their awesome hearing. As I park, I saw that someone had seen me from upstairs way before I had even ran the door bell.

I didn’t have to wait long cause Carlisle’s wife Esme answered the door, she had told me a short version of what had happened to my little sister, and it was much worse of what I had thought ‘bad’ could have been. Esme put her hand on my shoulder to comfort me. “You must be there for her, she needs you now,” she said with her nice soothing voice that calm me somewhat.

Then she took me to where Jenn was. When I saw her in the room with Esme and Carlisle’s younger son Edward I glared at him. I couldn’t help it but to be suspicious of him. I didn’t need some other guy watching over her. Now, that I was there to take care of her, after that guy she dated beat her. Just because she wouldn’t put out for him. I curse his name, Fred when I saw my little sister just then.

“Red you look like shit. But how are you doing sweetie?” I ask her then kick myself when I realized what I just said to her.

“Thanks and better Charlie. I think for being gone three days I look beautiful?” I heard Jenn ask me. And she is right. She is beautiful. But she should know that she is beautiful, every guy in town wanted to be her guy.

Her eyes had turn to a rare color of red, however, she isn’t attacking me like most newborn vampires would. See I know all about vampires. I learn most from the internet, in this era, things where researchable with just one click away. That damn, Fred, who was also a vampire in addition to beating Jenn up badly when she wouldn’t sleep with him. He caused all this. I knew nothing good would come out of him. I hope that he was dead. Cause, God help me, even if I had to loose my badge, I was gonna hunt him down and make him pay for what he did to my sister.

“When did you get those bruises on your body Jennesa? They look old, like this wasn‘t just the first time this shit happened?” I asked her and saw her start to cringe. I know that our parents are to blame again. Can't they ever just leave us alone? Wasn't beating us up as children enough?

As much as I love my parents I will not let what they did to Jenn go unpunished. But I need to know what all happened. And I need to know why she felt she couldn’t tell me what was going on. I wanted to grab my gun and run out to shoot the bastards.

Carlisle’s POV Three days later

When Jasper and Alice carried the girl from her vision I watched Edward’s face to see his reaction. To my surprise he was concerned and worried about her. I could tell right away that this girl was meant for him. And he was meant for her. But I hope he will be careful with her. She will be surprised and will probably have nightmares. Rape is something that is the worst a man can do to a woman. It’s degrading and something most women might not get over.

What surprises me the most is that she still has bruises that she got when she was human. And what surprises everyone including myself is how Rose is caring for her. Rose is so unpredictable. She will either like you or hate you. And for her to be so caring towards this stranger makes me proud that she is my daughter.

Finally our guest who I found out is named Jennesa Rose Swan and more surprising that she is Police Chief Charlie Swan’s little sister woke up. I need to ask her some questions and check her out but I will do that after she visits with her brother. It amazes me how much control she has for a newborn.

I look over to Esme my beautiful wife and smiled as she looks at Jennesa with love like a mother would their child. It really pisses me off when I hear how her parents have treated her. It makes me want to kill them when I hear what her father did to her five nights ago. I can see that Esme is sad and it makes me sad for her. See she had lost her son and tried to kill her self a week later when I found her and turned her.

She would give anything to be a mother again and she is. She is the most wonderful, passionate, caring and loving woman and wife a man would be proud to call his own. I can already tell that Esme wants Jenn to stay with us. And she already considers her and Charlie and Bella to be family. That surprises me cause Charlie and Bella are humans. But since they are Jenn’s blood family that in turn makes them our family.

I can only hope that Jennesa will want to stay with us.

Alice’s POV Three days ago

I can’t believe Jasper, Emmett and I didn’t make it on time to stop those nomads from hurting Jennesa. I hope Carlisle can help her. At least the change has started. Jasper had carried her as Emmett went to go tell Carlisle that she is found and is in need of medical attention. I know this has to be hard on Emmett. He always thought of Jenn as his little sister. Now this happens to her. I feel like I want to cry.

Her hair the color of blood red roses and black cherries and her eyes that were once the color of the skies are now blood red. But all newborns have them. That is because of their human blood still in their system. I remember what color her hair was before she got turned. And I wonder if she will ever be able to trust anyone after this.

We get her home to the house in minutes well less than a minute. Jasper takes her to the guest room and puts her down on the bed. After Carlisle checks her out and after he gives her morphine to stop the pain she is in all there is left to do is wait till she wakes up.

Three days later… Edward’s POV

Finally she wakes up and I can tell you she is even more beautiful right at this moment when she speaks. It would take my breath away if I needed to breathe. She has the voice of an angel. And I can tell that she probably thinks the same about me.

She asks three questions in a row and then relaxes when she sees Alice and Emmett. I am surprised that Rosalie is being so kind to her. But I guess that is because how this girl was turned was just how Rose was turned.

What surprises me is who her brother is. I had know idea she was related to Charlie Swan and his daughter Bella. And that she was Bella’s aunt.

What I didn’t know or want is to admit is that I was starting to have feelings for this girl. I need to distance myself from Jenn. Or make sure that we are never alone. I hope I won’t ever hurt her…
