The blood caked scimitar flashed and cut down its target. The sword's wielder smirked, but her tired eyes grew wherry of this almost constant combat.

"Shazarraah Tarkheena!"

She turned to see a large Calormens standing before her, his scimitar at the ready.

"It is said that..."

"Don't quote poetry to me...fight or yield," she growled.

"I shall teach you a lesson you disrespectful dog!" the Calormene warrior proclaimed and charged.

Unlike most female Calormene, Shazarraah did not become the soft, spoiled brat like the rest of her compatriots did. She had picked up the scimitar and trained her self to the point that her hard body wasn't eye catching to Calormene males, which, in her opinion, was a good thing. She found them all pigs and fools.

The two scimitars were a blur of motion. He might have had a size advantage over Shazarraah, but she was quicker and had far more endurance. That was why the moment she disarmed her foe, she ended her attacker's life.

'How many more men will I have to kill along this river?!" she thought, the maddeningly endless attacks making her normal short temper countenance even shorter. She took off down the river, hoping to reach Narnia and freedom. Of course, she knew of the gathering army that was back at the other end of the river, ready to march down it all the way to Narnia, but she would rather live as a free woman than be a wife slave to a Tarkaan who already had a dozen or so wives.

She sighed. She didn't know if she were in Narnia or not. It was so dark that she couldn't see if these were the forests of Narnia or not. A loud, low growl stopped her in her tracks. She touched the hilt of her scimitar, ready for battle. She then saw the glowing eyes of what could be only a cat, and a large cat at that.

"Ok, you fowl creature, prepare yourself to feel my blade," Shazarraah challenged.

"Don't you know to keep your sword clean?" a deep, booming voice asked.

"Huh? who is there?" she asked, unnerved. She heard footsteps and the moon, which had decided to come out from behind the cloud it was hiding behind, revealed the largest lion she had ever seen. She gripped her blade tighter. On slash to the eye would force this creature to retreat.

"Peace Tarkheena, why have you entered Narnia by yourself?"

"So, I am in Narnia...wait...lions don't talk."

"Here they do," the lion replied, his teeth showing in a smile which unnerved the Tarkheena.

"Well, I finally get here and I'm greeted by a talking lion...don't those pale faced barbarians not have enough skill with their own blades to be able to defend themselves, or must they rely on their talking animal friends to defend them?"

Ignoring her statement, the lion said, "You ran from Tashbaan, why?"

Shazarraah's eyes widen. How could this lion know..."Wait...you're...you're...you're Aslan!"

He smiled again. "And you are?"

"Shazarraah," she answered. "What, are you going to test me to see if I'm worthy enough to stay?"

"No."

"No?" she said, arching an eye brow.

"Anyone who wishes to be free from their bonds can come to Narnia. The people aren't the barbarians that Calormenes make them out to be."

"Then you aren't the demon that those that worship Tash claim you to be?"

"No child, it is Tash that is the demon."

"Or a liar...no one could be a descendent of that...creature."

"Why are you here?" he asked once again.

"Life in the empire for a woman has become worse. In public, we can no longer show our faces...we have to cover our bodies to the point where only our eyes show! We are treated as property no matter what class we are," she said and felt the lion's breath on her.

"Then child, live free, however, this freedom comes at a price."

She bit her lip, "What?" she asked.

"You must fight and defend it."

"Then lead me to your army," she said with a smile.

Peter, at first, had a slight headache. The dwarfs, who had almost slaughter Tirian's forces, had switched sides yet again due to the fact that Jadis was alive. However, that alliance almost crumbled when the general of the dwarfs realized that the Jadis that was here wasn't the one that had frozen Narnia so long ago. That made Peter's head ache worse, but what triggered the migraine was the bomb that Aslan brought into camp.

Shazarraah and Edmund immediately got themselves into a tiff which lead to a challenge. Peter sighed and went to have council with the lion.

"I know you did that for a reason, Aslan, but you just gave me another headache."

"Best for the hot heads to fight each other," Aslan said.

"They'll kill each other," Peter countered.

"They will burn themselves out before that point. They are both skilled at blade play...plus, neither wants to kill the other, just show that they are better."

Peter sighed, "The rest of the Calormene army is coming?"

"Correct."

"When it rains it monsoons," Peter uttered.

"Edmund is such a hot head," Susan complained.

"Now Susan, Shazarraah doesn't strike me to be such a calm Tarkheena," Lucy replied.

"It would be fitting for the both of them to end up as husband and wife," Susan said, stopped, smiled, and the two sisters laughed.

"Could you imagine that," Lucy said through her fits of giggling.

"Oh, I'd give almost anything to see that," Susan said with a smile.

"My lord," Rishda bowed before Tash.

"Shazarraah Tarkheena has made her way to Narnia and has joined the Narnians. She must be killed."

"I hear and obey."

"If she ends up marrying one of the kings...Calormene will belong to Narnia by right of marriage."

I shall wash my scimitar in her blood!" Rishda proclaimed and Tash smiled cruelly.

"I wish her not just killed, Rishda, she must be sport for the men of the army."

"All of them?" Rishda asked.

"All of them," Tash replied with a smirk.

"Thy will be done, Lord Tash," Rishda replied.
