Lime was unsure of how long they were in the rain before Chesire finally found a dry place for them to stay the rest of the night. It was a cave, a small one none the less but it was big enough for the both of them to have a roof over their heads and to keep totally out of the now wind blonw rain that tried its best to get at them from the entrance.

"Can you see in here?" Lime asked, noting how dark it was in there as she finally let down.
"Yes, as a cat I have excellent night vision," he said as he shook some of the droplets of water off his fur, which flew through the air to hit the walls and Lime who flinched when they landed on her already chilled skin.

"Unfortunatly, I don't," Lime said and held up her right hand. He looked at this a bit confussed and was surprised when a tennis ball sized orb of white light grew from thin air and hovered three inches above her hand.

"How did you do that?" he asked and she smiled.
"It's a simple spell, magic runs in my family," Lime said as she began to look around a bit.
"What are you looking for?"
"Wood. We're gonna have to start a fire if we're to get dry so as we don't get sick."
"Can't you just make it appear out of thin air?"
"That's impossible, I can only teleport it from one place to the next and I don't know of any wood that's dry."

"I see, let's look around then," Chesire said and joined Lime in the search for wood. Within a short amount of time, the two were able to gather a small amoutn of wood to light a fire with enough wood to feed it slowly over the night. Once the fire was set the Chesire Cat sat by the fire and started to watch it as Lime set her wet cloths aside on some rocks to dry for the night. Her moving shadows took his attention away from the flames to notice what exactally she was doing.

"You're nude," he commented as he glanced up at her.
"So? You are to," she retorted with her back to him.
"And you're bleeding," he added.
"What?! Where?" Lime asked as she quickly looked herself over.
"On your legs, did you cut yourself somehow?" he asked.
"Shit! That fucking rabbit must have torn me up when he..."
"He hurt you?" Chesire asked in a low, unhappy tone of voice.
"Well, that generally happens when one gets raped, isn't it?" Lime asked sarcastically as she sat down and tried to examine her own wounds.

"Let me," Chesire simply said as he moved over to her. Lime was going to turn him down but she never got the chance to because he was in front of her before she could even speak. He gently moved her legs apart, with her left leg still propped up and her right leg on the ground so as the light could reach her genatals better.

"I can't see it like this, I need you to turn around," he said. Lime just nodded and did as he wished. She got up on her knees and almost got face to face with Chesire as she stood up to turn around before getting back on her knees and leaned forward on the rock that was now in front of her. A blush crept along Lime's face as she felt his hands pry her cheeks apart and a light gasp almost escaped her mouth as he used the still damp towle to clean away the blood.

"It doesn't look to bad, it should heal fast," he said as he finished up.
"Thank you," Lime said as she pushed off the rock and turned back to him only to stare curiously.
"What?" he asked, sounding annoyed.
"I was just wondering..."
"About what? You're family?"
"No, abbackback there. The rabbit said something about pills and..." Lime started.
"Yes, he slipped some in my milk and I just played along as if I didn't notice," he said with a wide grin that gave Lime the shivers.
"Clever," was the the only thing she could say.
"Very clever," he said and the two started at each other in silence for a moment, as if he knew there was something more she wanted to say.

"Also...about you."
"Me?"
"Yes. I have heard so many stories about you that I'm wondering why you're helping me."
To this, Chesire Cat only leaned in closer with this serious look on his face and said, "Because...you intrigue me." Lime didn't hide the surprise in her face when she heard this but this reaction was soon washed away when a clap of thunder surprised her.

"Looks like we'll be here for the rest of the night. I guess we should get comfortable," he said with a grin.

"Oh? And just how do you propose to do that?"
"By keeping closer together for warmth," he said and slipped his arms around her before she could even protest. Lime could feel the blush return as they laid down on the floor of the cave as he held her close to him with her face almost against his chest.

"Lime," he said at one point.
"Excuse me?"
"Lime, you smell like you're name. It's very exotic."
"Thank you, for the complament and all the help you have given me so far," she said and he secretly smiled as he continued to hold her. Before long, the two drifted off to sleep as the fire burned away the rest of the night.

The night passed quietly with no dreams for either Lime or Chesire Cat, which was surprising to say none the less. When morning came, Lime woke to find herself alone in the cave with a spent fire. She quickly sat up and looked around in frightshe she wondered where Chesire Cat had gone off to or if he had totally left her.

"I'm right here," said a familar male voice and Lime spun around to see him in a dark corner of the cave, with a partally eaten peice of meat in his hand. Lime then noticed that some more meat was cooking on a freash yet smaller fire with peices of fruit nearby.

"You got breakfast," she said as she stood up and walked over next to him.
"Of course I did."
"Thank you," she said as she grabbed a peice of fruit, thinking the meat not to be ready yet.
"You don't have to say that all the time you know."
"It's the way I was brought up."
"Speaking of which, I'm surprised to see you coping with whappeappened the way you are."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I may live in the woods but I'm not sheltered, I know how girls get after being rapped...especially after a creep like that."

"Well, I'm not sheltered either. I grew up in a kingdom where the theme was love so mother made sure we knew all about that stuff, the good and the bad. Besides, not every girl is going to react the same way. It all depends on how meek or strong of consitution one is."

"And you're not a very meek person," he said and she smiled, "or strong."
Lime glared.
"But you're bold, so that must count for something."
"Yes, it does," Lime said and grabbed a stick of meat to eat.
"Hey, this is good. What is it?" Lime asked.
"Rabbit," Chesire said as he grabbed another peice of nearly raw.
"Rabbit? Where did you...never mind," Lime said, begining to wonder where the meat came from but she began to get an singular idea. The two continued with their meal in partal silence, making small conversation here and there. Once they were done, they cleaned up with the still damp towel and Lime got dressed in the almost dry sundress with the white apron...which made Chesire frown.

"What?"
"You look like her."
"Like Alice?"
He nodded. "Sorry to say this, but it was the only decent thing to wear. Other than this, all there was to wear was scumy French Maid outfits with five inch long skirts," Lime said with a shudder.

"Odd," Chesire simply said and dropped the conversation right there as they stepped out of the cave and made their way back out on the road.

Morning gave way to afternoon as the two walked against the sun's path and it was sometime around the middle of the day when they reached the peak of a hill to find a small brown town in the valley below.

"Wow! Those buildings look like they're made of Gingerbread," Lime gasped as they looked down at the town.
"They are," Chesire said as he led the way down the hill.
"Kewlness," Lime said as she followed.
"Kewlness?" he asked as he glanced at her.
"Yeah, it's a slang term which means a positive reponse," Lime said as she caught up with him.
"I see...I think," he said, a bit puzzled by this. Lime let out a small sigh and pulled out a slang dictionary from her pocket.

"Where did you get that?" Chesire asked.
"In my pocket, you won't believe how much stuff is in there," Lime said as she handed him the book and she opened the pocket a bit only to let out the sound of an elephant blowing its trunk, which made Chesire Cat snap his head right at her to look at the pocket in surprise. The two continued to walk towards the village as Lime dug her arm as far down as her elbow into her pocket to find out what exatclly was in there and it wasn't long before the two were in town and Lime was quickly distracted by her pocket as she looked around at the buildings ion awe. Yet Chesire Cat took tjhis moment to peer into the pocket and reached into it only to find that he could only plunge it in as far as his wrist.

"Odd...ness," he said, adding the last part as in attempt to copy Lime's slang. Lime looked away form the buildings to look down at the buldging pocket before she looked back at him.

"I guess this must be the ever famous curiosity I've heard about cats," Lime simply commented but thisn was enough to make him remove his hand and give her a light glare before they turned back to the village.

"We'll have to go through town to continue on our way," he said as his eyes scanned the road ahead.
"Can't we stay here a bit longer? I'd like to explore a bit," Lime pleaded and he looked down at her with a raised eyebrow. "What?"

"I guess cats aren't the only curious ones," he commented with a smirk. Lime glared and was about to defend herself but was interutped by the sound of destruction and screams.

"Run! The creature has returned!" several people yelled as they ran towards, around and then away from Lime and Chesire Cat.

"Wait! What's going on?" Lime called out.
"The Jaberwoky miss, it's returned," a man called out as he carried his scared son in his arms.
"Great, just great," Lime cursed under her breath and ran in the direction of the attack.
"Lime! What are you doing?" Chesire demanded once he had chased after and cut her off by getting in front of her.

"That thing is my fault."
"What makes you think that?"
"Because, I know about them."
"So? We all know about them and they still appear."
"But..."
"Lime, this one isn't any different," Chesire said as he held her shoulders. Lime was about to retort when a nearby building was smashed and peices of gingerbread flew through the air. The two turned to see something that didn't really look like a Jaberwoky to Lime. It definatly seemed like the dragon like creature but it also looked more human...almost gargoyle like.

"Except this one," Chesire said and quickly stepped between it and Lime so as to sheild her form his sight...but it was to late. This Jaberwocky had seen Lime the moment he smashed through the corner of the gingerbread house with a single backhanded hit. Ignoring the cat, he looked at Lime and a grin spread across his face as one word came from his mouth in a cold type of hiss...

"Alice."

Princess Lime didn't know weither to collasp to the ground or weither to uppercut this guy to the moon.
