The Lagoon
A/N: Gods, I am just loving writing this ficcy. Halfway through the movie I knew I was going to write it, Jeremy is just such a lollipop! But here you go folks, Peter's gonna get a little action. *evil grin*_____________________Peter and Lily made their way to the lagoon, Lost Boys in tow. The whole lot was being rather rambunctious, it had been a while since they'd had a good swim."Careful Miss Lily, you never know what characters might be about in these woods," said the ever gallant Bones, his sword at the ready."Well, I've had the best swordsmaster in Neverland teaching me how to fight, so I suppose I'll be able to go out with you to fight the pirates myself soon."That began a round of cheers with the boys. They'd never seen a girl use a sword before, and they were all dreadfully curious at how she might stand up. There weren't very many girls at all in Neverland, at least none that acted as they did. Princess Tigerlily was nice, but she preferred to wander the forests and never really adventured outside of them. Finally they reached the lagoon and a flurry of furs and leaves occured as the Boys stripped of what little extra bits of clothing they were wearing. As the Boys and Peter all swung into the lagoon on a vine, Lily discreetly ducked behind a tree and stripped off her frock. Nibbling at her lower lip, she left on her bloomers and her shirt, tying the large buttoned garment at the waist. It was all she had and it wasn't as though she were really very worried about what these boys might think of the impropriety."Miss Lily! Come join us!"Lily tucked away her clothes carefully, and ran out to join the boys in the lagoon. With a graceful swan dive, she pierced the beautiful blue-green water in the sheltered lagoon. When she came up, shaking her long black hair, she took a moment to look around the lagoon. It was a small kidney-shaped pool, surrounded by tall ledges on three sides. The fourth side was a slow incline covered with berry bushes, a meandering path snaking its way through. A beautiful waterfall fell over a ledge on one side, the mist formed by it's churning power creating a rainbow effect over the whole eastern side of the lagoon. As Lily watched the Lost Boys splash and rough-house, Peter came up behind her, dunking her under the water quickly. As she came sputtering back up to the surface to see who had done it, she saw Peter treading water, looking at her with his now familiar devilish grin."Lily, I want to show you something," he said, taking her hand and swimming towards the waterfall."What is it?" she asked, silently thrilling at the touch of his hand and hers."It's a surprise."They swam to the side of lagoon, stopping about two feet away from the waterfall. The water spilled over an outcropping, about three feet above the water level, and there was a space between the water and the ledge where you could swim. Peter turned and looked back at Lily, beckoning her to follow. She swam behind him cautiously, aware of the rushing water at her side. Coming close behind Peter, she found them about two yards behind the waterfall with a solid wall in front of them."This is what you wanted to show me?" Lily asked. It was interesting behind the waterfall, but Peter seemed so excited. There had to be something more.Peter shook his head twice quickly. "Take a deep breath and follow me," he said as he dove beneath the water. Lily did as she was told, taking a deep breath and following Peter under the water. She opened her eyes and saw clearly below the surface a crevice in the previously solid seeming wall of rock, and a pair of boyish feet disappear into it. She swam through the hole a few feet and saw light playing on the surface of the water above her. Coming the surface, she found Peter sitting on a rock inside a large cavern. She took a seat beside Peter and then realized that the sound of music, much like wind chimes, filled the air."Oh Peter, it's lovely!" Lily exclaimed, hugging him tightly and taking his hand in hers. Peter looked down at her hand curiously but smiled. The walls of the caverns pulsated with bands of light, all the different colours of the rainbow. Blue, then orange, then a bright green, all the colours seeming to originate from the rock itself. After a few moments, Lily realized that the tones in the air correlated with which coloured band of rock was glowing at the moment."Peter, it's so beautiful," she murmured, shivering slightly. Peter noticed this and put his arm around her, his hand moving slowly along her arm to warm her. Lily smiled at him, her lids lowered demurely, a soft smile playing upon her lips."I found it one day while I was exploring. I thought you might like it. Girls like things like this." He smiled down at her too, his eyes shining brightly, reflecting the light in cavern. For some reason, he couldn't pull his gaze away from the blue-violet eyes looking so closely at him. She had begun to lean forward, closing her eyes, while Peter's eyes opened even wider.Lily's lips found his and she kissed him gently, turning so that she could place one hand on his cheek. Peter was confused at first, but then he realized that it was another thimble-kiss, but this time it was placed upon his lips. But he became even more confused when he felt Lily's mouth open, and her tongue touch his lips. Maybe I'm supposeddo tdo that too, he thought, and opened his mouth as well. Lily's tongue entered his mouth, touching the tip of his gently.Lily sighed happily, moving her hand to stroke Peter's tousled wet hair. She had only ever kissed anyone once before, the boy who brought the vegetables to Madame Dubouis'. It had been a sloppy affair, the boy grabbing her in the kitchens and kissing her roughly and without ceremony. She knew the mechanics, but she hadn't known that it could even be like this, this wonderful feeling, her heart fluttering against her chest, his soft lips touching hers so gently. They reluctantly pulled apart after what seemed like forever, hearing both their names being called out by the Lost Boys. Giggling slightly, Lily and Peter made their way back to join the rest of the group. What they hadn't noticed was a bright yellow light towards the ceiling of the cavern. Tinkerbell had been watching, and now she was filled with dread.__________________________A/N: All righty folks, some lime-y-ness for you. And the next chapter will have some lovely exposition about what happened in the mean time between when Wendy left and Lily arrived.
