How I Spent My Summer Vacation

I hadn't been asleep for a few minutes when I heard the door creak open, and a shadow appeared in the doorway. I heard soft footfalls of his bare feet shuffling along the thick carpet, and then I felt the comforter being pulled back.

"Do you always sneak into girls' rooms?" I teased, and I heard him chuckle. I turned over and saw his green eyes sparkling in the moonlight that cast a pale white glow in the room. His eyes widened when he saw what I was wearing.

"Um, I forgot what I was going to say," he said, his eyes drinking me in as he stood by the edge of the bed.

"Well let me refresh your memory." I reached out, took him by the arm, and pulled him down on the bed, kissing him with a fire I never even knew I had. His hands were everywhere as we rolled around on the bed, the sheets tangling up around our legs in the process. I felt him stiffen and he pulled back.

"Edward? What's the matter?" He looked away, looking ashamed.

"I'm not sure how to do this, I've never been with a girl before."

"Are you a virgin?" He nodded, his face turning redder by the minute.

"Shh, it's okay, I'm sure you'll do fine. It's instinct." He groaned as I pulled on his boxers and yanked them down his legs. He finished removing them and was trembling as he lifted my nightie over my head.

"Wait, do you have anything?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"I'm on the pill, been on it for over a year." He groaned again as he covered my body with his, and I hissed in pain as he entered me. He was so much bigger than Jake and Felix had been.

"Ungh, I've been wanting to claim you as mine for over a year, Isabella Marie Swan," he grunted in between thrusts, and my heart thrilled at hearing my full name on his lips.

I pulled his face down to mine and kissed him as I tried to match him thrust for thrust. My breathing was becoming more labored, my heart was racing, and my lower body was starting to quiver. I knew I was getting close. He seemed to sense it as well, for he started picking up the pace, moaning against my lips. Felix's lovemaking consisted of a kiss to start things off, a few hard thrusts and then it was over, and he would be kicking me out of his mother's basement. I would go home and then finish what he started. Edward was making me forget my own name and then some, and he was amazing for a beginner. I heard a weird noise as he kissed me, it almost sounded like a growl.

"Do that again," I said breathlessly.

"What?"

"That growl or whatever it was." I shivered as I heard it again, and from the way he was tensing up I knew he was getting close.

"Oh god, Edward, I'm going to come," I moaned, and before I finished my sentence, my whole body was exploding around him, and he let out a stream of profanities as he exploded right behind me.

My body clenched around him, riding it out, and I saw explosions in the back of my head. He didn't pull out immediately afterward, he kissed me for a few minutes until it got soft, and then even after he eased out of me, he pulled me against his body and cradled me in his arms as we fell into a dreamless sleep. The last thing I heard before I lost consciousness was him whispering in my ear that he loved me.

I didn't want to get up, I was much too comfortable. I looked over to see Edward's eyes closed, his long lashes resting against his cheeks, his chest rising and falling with every breath. He looked like an angel, and I sighed as I leaned over to kiss him on the forehead. He stirred, his eyes slowly opening. Those beautiful green orbs bored into mine, and I felt myself being dazzled again.

"Good morning," he said, "did you sleep well?"

"Surprisingly yes, how about you?"

"Best nights' sleep I've had in over a year. I've been having trouble sleeping ever since you walked into my life." I bit my lip. He had never dated anyone this year or last year, and now I knew why, because he'd been waiting for me. I tangled my fingers in his hair.

"I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. I love you, Edward Anthony Masen Cullen."

"As I love you, Isabella Marie Swan. I know I should have asked this last night and it seems kind of silly now after what happened, but will you be mine?"

"You mean, like your girlfriend?" He nodded.

"Yes." I snuggled closer to him as his lips searched for mine.

"There is no way in hell that was your first time last night, no one is that good their first time. Hell, my first time with Jacob he only lasted 5 minutes and he didn't know what the hell he was doing."

"I don't know, I guess living with two perverted brothers I must have picked up a thing or two. Either that or it's because we were meant to be together, and when two people are destined to be together it's like magic."

"Hmm," I murmured, burying my head against his shoulder, breathing in his scent, a combination of sex, sweat, and soap. He had a scent that I knew I could never get tired of, and he smelled like no one else had.


Everyone stared as we entered the amusement park hand in hand. Felix gave me a glare and then went back to fixing the bumper cars. Alice nearly knocked me over as she hugged me tightly.

"It's about time, missy!" she laughed, as I tried to pull out of her eager embrace. Emmett was trying to keep from falling over, he was laughing so hard.

"So I take it from the fact you never came home last night that my sexually frustrated virgin brother finally got some tail last night?" Edward and I both turned beet red as Emmett and Jasper cracked up. Rosalie smacked Emmett in the back of the head.

I was watching Edward show a little girl how to play a game when I heard a cough behind me. I turned around and groaned. Not now.

"So, how was the party?" Felix sneered.

"Okay, I guess. It broke up pretty early."

"Well, seeing as how you and Edward seemed pretty chummy this morning and the fact that he came in your car while his family came in his car, it's safe to assume you had a slumber party?"

"What's it to you?" I retorted.

"Did he know how to make you whimper just by touching the back of your knee in a certain way? Or how your toes get numb when you have an orgasm, or how your eyes roll in the back of your head? Did he make you forget your own name?" I trembled as his warm breath blew on my neck. I flinched back. I would not become another notch in his bedpost, I'd already made that mistake twice.

"All that and more, he made me forget how old I was or where I was," I retorted angrily. Felix's eyes darkened for a minute and then Edward came back over.

"Hey, Bells, it's time for our lunch, ready to go?"

"Yes please." Edward turned and smirked at Felix as he wrapped his arm around me as we headed for the manager's office to punch out for lunch.

"I can't stand that guy, he's always flirting with all the girls around here, and he's married, it's disgusting," he said after we were out of earshot.

"I noticed. Last summer he was really abrasive and persistent."

"If I wasn't such a gentleman, I'd knock his ass out, but Aro would probably fire me, and I really need this job. Well I don't need it, my family's loaded, but it just looks good on college applications."

"So where are you going to college?"

"University of Washington here in Seattle. You?"

"Same. I wanted to go to Dartmouth, but I can't afford it, and I missed the scholarship by a tenth of a grade."

"Well I'm sorry about Dartmouth, but at least we'll be at school together." He took my hand and laced our fingers together, kissing my wrist as he did so.

"Bella, you are my life now. Whenever I close my eyes, all I see is you. I can't imagine my life without you, you have no idea how long I've waited for you."

"Edward," I breathed, and our lips touched briefly. I pulled away, not wanting to cause a huge scene in public, especially in the workplace. Jasper just rolled his eyes as he and Alice walked by, their arms loaded down with enough food to gag a horse. I had a feeling this summer was going to be interesting to say the least.

So there you have it, Edward finally won her heart, but what's going to happen next? The summer's not over yet!
