How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Chapter 6


"No frigging way, tell me you didn't!" Rosalie screeched. I'd invited her and Alice over for a slumber party. We were in our pajamas, sitting cross legged on the floor, watching movies, eating popcorn and drinking soda, and playing Truth or Dare. I'd said Truth, which was a big mistake.

"So what was it like? I mean, didn't you feel bad fucking a married man?" Rosalie asked, her blue eyes glittering.

"See that's the thing, he didn't tell me he was married until afterwards, and he actually didn't tell me anyway, Demetri did."

"Wow, I mean wow. So was he good lay?" Alice put in, her dark eyes flashing with amusement. I blushed, not quite sure how to put it.

"Let's just say that he knew what he was doing, which is more than I can say for Jacob, but Jake had an excuse, he was young and didn't know what he was doing. But Felix can't hold a candle to Edward." My face was as red as a tomato by now, and Alice got this weird look on her face.

"My brother? He finally got some? Ha ha, it's about time!"

"As if you didn't know, you saw us holding hands that day after the party."

"I just said it was about time you guys started dating, I didn't say anything about sleeping together. Oh my god, you guys did it that night after we all left!"

"We were both a little buzzed, and one thing led to another..." I was squirming now, wishing I had said dare instead of truth.

"Still, I can't believe it. He's been chasing after you for over a year, writing your name over and over in a notebook, sighing your name, staring at your yearbook picture, I was at the point of knocking you out with chloroform and dragging you to our house and tying you to his bed just so he could get it out of his system. I wondered why he was so happy the last couple of days."

"Ok, let's move on, Bella, your turn to ask one of us," Rosalie interupted.

"Okay, Rose, I dare you to call up Mike Newton and have phone sex with him." She wrinkled her nose.

"Put it on speaker phone too, I want to hear this," Alice said, clapping her hands.

"Bella, I swear to God if I didn't love Edward so much I'd kill you with my bare hands," Rose snapped, picking up the phone. She made a face as she dialed.

Hey, Mike, it's Rosalie, Rosalie Hale.
(Pause) Oh hey, what's up? (Nervous laugh)
What are you wearing?
(Pause) Blue shirt, black shorts, I was just about to go mow the lawn.
(Rosalie makes a weird moaning sound) MMM, too bad I didn't catch you later, I love sweaty guys.
(Nervous laugh) Uh, aren't you dating Emmett?
Pssh, what he doesn't know won't hurt him.
(Laughs) Yeah but he scares me.
So what do you want to talk about?
What are you up to this summer?
Working up in Seattle at this stupid amusement park. My whole family is here, so is Bella.
Oh yeah? Tell her I said hi, and I'm sorry about Jacob.
Don't pine over her too much, she's been with Edward all summer.
It figures, she always goes for that type.
Enough chit chat, Newton, I didn't call to talk about Bella, I called to talk about us.
Us? I didn't know there was an 'us'.
Don't deny it Newton, I've seen the way you stare at me in school.
Well, yeah, but who doesn't? You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
Well thank you, Newton, you've been a very good boy. You get a reward. I want you to picture me naked.
(Gasp, nervous chuckle) Um, okay, I've done that before.

(soft noises in the background, along with a moan) Oh god, may I call you Rose?

(Rosalie makes a face at us before continuing on, faking a moan) Ah, yes, right there, Mike...
(hears a grunting noise in the background, along with a soft cry) Oh, god, Rose, what you do to me.
Mmm, Mike, I love when you do that. I gotta go, I'll talk to you later.

Alice and I were about ready to burst at the seams from trying to hold the laughter in, but as soon as Rose hung up, we rolled over in laughter.

"That was disgusting, no wonder he can't get a woman, that was like the fastest orgasm I've ever seen on a guy!"

"I'm sorry Rose, but it was just too good not to listen to that."

"Ugh, no wonder Jessica can't stand him, who'd want a guy who blows his load after a minute?"


By the time we finished with the third movie, it was well after midnight, and I was exhausted. Our sleeping bags were laid out on the floor, and I curled up into mine, willing myself to get some sleep. The park was closed tomorrow, it was the 4th of July, but Aro was opening it up for us employees so we could have a party and then fireworks afterwards.

I didn't plan on watching the fireworks, I planned on being with Edward, we'd have to find a quiet spot to be alone in. My aunt and uncle didn't know that Edward had stayed over when they'd been gone, but they would have had a stroke. They didn't mind me having girls over, but they frowned on guys staying over, unless it was a family member. Which suited me just fine, Edward and I had spent plenty of nights over at his family's house.

Carlslie had rented it for the summer so his kids would have someplace to stay rather than stay in a crappy hotel close to the park, like most of the workers were staying. Everyone else besides us lived in Seattle, so it was only a quick commute to and from work.

Rosalie and Alice were sound asleep, so I flipped over on my side and did a lot of thinking. I wondered what Edward was doing right now, and if he was thinking about me as well. I could only imagine Emmett and Jasper wrestling around or playing Playstation, probably missing their girls as well. That was my last thought before the darkness took me under.
