The next time we as a group saw Corey, he started screaming. His eyes had gone milky white and he was left permanently blinded. Corey had to suffer several medical tests to try and find out why he couldn’t see all of a sudden. To this day, he is still blind, a lot more humble, and no one knows why he is blind. Oddly enough, he has never been seen wearing the crystal necklace.

My stolen objects turned up in my room so I reported their recovery. Corey never admitted to the robbery, and it was simply dismissed, since nothing happened after Corey went blind.

Bronson went on to state finals and eventually became a top athlete after high school. We are still in contact, and he is presently training for Olympics. He is engaged to Rebecca, and I’ve been invited to the wedding.

Rhys and I have moved out of home. Rhys is studying writing and I’m doing a major in history. I’m also chairman of the collage tabletop gamers. My chess hasn’t improved, but that’s okay, I play some pretty good draughts.

Daniel and I are still friends, and while we have a few sexual encounters every now and again, it has never evolved into a relationship. I think he has a crush on a guy at his collage, and I hope he does well.

I never heard from Clarissa again. I still have her card. I don’t know if I will ever call her. That kind of drama I could do without again. But I have the feeling she is still out there, granting wishes and whatever else it is that she does.

So until life takes its next turn, I am still careful what I wish for.
