Unfaithful
I own no part of POTO or the film Unfaithful...simply having fun hereChapter 1 Boredom is a dangerous thing....can make people come up with some insane ways to pass the time. She looked at around at the ballroom packed with tuxedo and evening gown clad people. Hmmm ...maybe if I run across this room screaming at the top of my lungs I could escape this madness. Christine took another glass of champange from the passing waiter and sipped it as she glanced around the crowded room. Same boring people talking about the same boring shit. "So can we put you on the list to volunteer with next fall's charity auction?" "Hmm...what?" Christine's attention was brought back to the middle aged woman beside her. Elizabeth Cunningham had cornered her nearly twenty minutes ago, talking incessantly about another charity function. Hmmppff the money she spent on that dress could feed the homeless in two city blocks for a month. They think if they throw a fancy party and raise a few bucks it makes them less shallow...what a joke. Christine planted a practiced smile back on her face. "I'm sorry Liz what did you say?" "The same thing we've been talking about dear, this fall's charity auction." "Oh right." "But I see your mind is somewhere else, my girl." Liz smiled as Raoul walked into view. "Hell if my husband looked like that, my mind would wander too." Christine downed the rest of her champagne. "Indeed Liz it does make the mind wander." Raoul spotted the two and walked over as Christine sat her glass down. "Hey Liz." He wrapped his arm around Christine and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek. "So have you bullied my wife in to more benefit work?" "I think she is persuaded....though you distracted her from giving an answer." Quit talking like I am not right here. "No Liz, of course she would be glad to help. Right dear?" Christine planted another smile on her face. Hell it will pass the time. "Of course." "Wonderful I will put your name down and email you all the information. Oh goodness..." Liz waved her arm as the couple turned. "I must go speak to Robert, excuse me you two. "She dashed off with a click of her high heels upon the marble floor. Christine disentangled herself from Raoul's embrace and took a glance at her diamond watch. "Please tell me we have been here long enough." "You're joking right? Christine we just got here. There are so many important contacts still to socialize with. You know how important this is." Sure....just as important as the last one and the next one and the one after that."Come on" Raoul took her arm. "Let me introduce you to some more people." Plant on the smile....remember this is what you dreamed of. Christine followed. ~~~~~~~~~The elevator ride seemed to be going in slow motion as Christine and Raoul returned to their Manhattan apartment. "You were the most beautiful woman there." Raoul ran his hand up the back of her dress. Oh God not tonight. "Thank you. I hope you made all the business contacts that you needed to." The elevator door opened and Christine hurridly stepped out. "Hmm." Raoul quickly fell in step beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist as they walked down the hall. "The only thing they could tell me was what a gorgeous wife I have and how lucky a man I am." They reached the door and Raoul took his free hand to reach for the key. Unlocking the door, he turned and kissed her cheek before opening it. "I am the luckiest man." Christine simply smiled and walked through the offered door. Please just let me get to bed. She kicked her shoes off of her aching feet, picked them up, and then padded across the plush Persian carpet. "I will lock up and set the alarm. Be back there in just a minute." "Alright." Christine called back as she walked through their bedroom. She threw her shoes by her dresser and continued into the master bath. Sitting down at her dressing table, Christine watched her reflection as she removed her emerald earrings. Women would kill to have the life I have now. So why do I feel like I am dying from the inside out? "Here." Raoul's voice startled Christine as he came behind her. His hands went to the clasp of her matching necklace. "Let me help." Undoing the chain, he slid the necklace from around her neck, then leaned in to kiss the skin gently. And the play continues....back on stage you go. Mistaking Christine's audible sigh as one of contentment, Raoul brought his arms around her as he snuggled against her neck, catching her reflection in the mirror. "Mmmm. I want you." Blunt and to the point. Hell let's get it over with so I can go to sleep. Christine turned to look in the blue eyes of her husband, grateful that he couldn't read her thoughts as she let him kiss her lips. As much genius Raoul showed in the stock market, in the five years of their marriage, he had varied little on the basic routine in the bedroom. At least it is easier to pretend interest in this, compared to Liz's rambling. Christine thought as Raoul unzipped her dress. She took his hand and stood, letting it slide down her body. Raoul unbuttoned his tuxedo shirt will ill concealed gusto, throwing it to the floor before taking Christine and leading her back into their bedroom. His kisses grew more insistent, his tongue probing into her mouth as he backed her to the bed. Christine knew the routine well enough and let her hands move to undo his trousers as Raoul unfastened the clasp on her bra. His mouth moved down her neck to her breast and Christine gave the obligatory moans as his mouth found her nipple and began to suck upon it. Just a little longer. Raoul lay Christine back upon the bed and pulled her panties off her body in one swift motion. He kicked off his own trousers and boxers before crawling to lie on top of her. "You are amazing." His mouth found hers again as she felt his sex pressed against her belly. "I want you." He parted her thighs. "Please love." "Mmm-hmm." "God...baby." He slid into her with a low groan. "Christine." I swear we are following a script, Christine let her mind wander as Raoul thrust into her again. Almost done, almost done. Raoul buried his face against her neck, her cue to wrap her legs and arms around him. Are all men this gullible? Christine wondered as she vocalized moans in time to Raoul's thrusts. "More, baby....yes....yes...more." "Christine....oh god....Christine." His voice was muffled against her neck God just hurry up already. Christine tightened her inner muscles around him, simultaneously letting out a loud panting cry. It was enough to send Raoul into his climax, his body heaving as he emptied himself inside her. "Mmmm, love." He gasped as he kissed her neck, her cheek, her mouth. "You are amazing." His spent member slid out of her body and he rolled to the side. Christine crawled under the covers and turned on her side as Raoul spooned behind her. "Goodnight, my love." "Goodnight." She lay awake a long time, the only sounds coming from Raoul's snoring and the sounds from the never sleeping city. Christine got up and pulled her robe on. Walking through the dark apartment, she opened the French doors leading to the balcony. Standing alone in the night, Christine finally let the tears fall.TBC
