Edward walked into the room carrying a black duffle bag over one arm. “Hope you boys like playing dress-up. We’re going out tonight.”

Remus and Severus glanced at each other and then back at Edward. In unison they repeated, “Out?”

Edward nodded, unzipping the duffle bag. “That’s right,” he said, handing each man a stack of clothing. “Go put these on. Hurry up.”

Each man again looked at one another. Finally, Remus said, “I’ll go first,” and headed off for the loo. Moments later, he could be heard shouting, “You really can’t expect me to wear this!?”

Edward snickered, but called back, “Oh, get your fuzzy butt out here, Lupin!”

Grumbling, Remus re-entered the room. He stood there, his arms crossed over his half-bare chest. “You have got to be kidding, Edward. Look at me! I look like some kind of gothic whore or something!”

Edward nodded, smiling. “Exactly.”

Remus looked to Severus. “Looks like it’s your turn, old pal.”

Severus gave his customary scowl back and stalked out of the room. While he was gone, Remus re-assessed himself in the room’s full-length mirror.

“I guess it’s not so bad,” he commented, thinking about what the girls would say, his wife in particular. He gave an appraising eye to his form-fitting black lycra pants and loose, billowy shirt. He brushed his fingertips over the light sprinkling of chestnut colored hair that peeked out through the sizable ‘V’ created by his shirt’s open neck-line. His wrists, he noted were snugly held by the cinching on his cuffs. Turning to look at Edward, he commented, “The only thing I liked to begin with were the boots.” Upon saying this, he clicked the heels of his calf-high black leather boots together. “However, having the lycra pants down inside them, my legs are sweating.”

Edward laughed, stating, “One must pay the price for beauty, my friend.”

Just then, Severus re-entered the room, his scowl at it’s worst. “I will not go cavorting around in public dressed in this, Edward.”

Remus looked him over from his leather boots and trousers to his silk shirt and velvet frock coat. “The all-black ensemble you’ve got us in is kind of morbid, Edward. But kudos on the silver piping on the coat. It screams Slytherin.”

Upon hearing Remus’s assessment, and giving the wolfman a once-over, Severus looked thoughtful. “I guess mine isn’t as bad as his. I apologize.”

Edward gave them both his impish grin, opening his black duster to show off his own clothing. Remus whistled and Severus just scowled. After a moment, Severus reflected, “Edward, any more rips and we’d see everything you have to offer. And in leather, even. Did you make that pair of pants yourself, or cut them off of someone else?”

Remus added, “The mesh is a nice touch. Let’s the girls gawk.”

Edward s nickered. “Yeah, I’m sure they’ll approve of all of us. Too bad they can’t come.”
