Chapter one.

Erik was lonely, yet again. Christine was gone. Everyone was gone. Only Mme. Giry and her daughter Meg visited him to bring him foot and supplies for his writing. And even then he didn't write.

He was bored tonight. He decided to go out. He dressed in his normal black clothes and went out to the best brothel in Paris. "Gypsy to Lady" was the brothel's name.

But the women here were hardly ladies and hardly gypsies. Erik had lived with Gypsies.

These women were far from them.

Erik tied his horse to a post on the out of the brothel and went inside.

Mme. Junir, the lady of the brothel, knew Erik well and had always picked him the perfect ladies. She had good taste and Erik always trusted her.

Mme. Junir had interduced him to three young ladies, all of whom were very beautiful and new, but none of them sparked his interest.

That was until he laid eyes on Juliet Dambire.

"Who is that?" Erik asked Mme. Junir. She smiled. "I thought you might see her. She is Juliet Dambire. She's new Erik...and young." Junir informed him.

Erik shook his head. "You know my limits Junir. How old?" he asked her.

Junir smiled. "Fourteen and a half." she informed him. Erik looked the dark red head up and down. She had pale skin, a early bloomer. She had long legs and was tall for her age. Her hair reached her backside and was in wavy curls.

She wore red lipstick and matching make-up. Erik sighed. "Has she been-" "Touched? No! I knew she would ketch your eye so I have saved her just for you." Junir told Erik. He smirked at her. "What has she been doing?" he asked.

Junir leaned in. "Singing." she told him flatly, but with a smile upon her face.

Suddenly a piano began to play a song(Learn to be lonely).

Erik listened.

"Child of the wilderness, born into emptiness. Learn to be lonely, learn to find your way in darkness. Who will be there for you, comfort and care for you? Learn to be lonely, learn to be you're one companion. Never dreamed out in the world, there are arms to hold you. You've always known-you're heart was on it's own. So laugh in your loneliness...child of the wilderness. Learn to be lonely, learn how to love, life that is lived alone. Learn to be lonely, life can be lived, life can be loved alone." she finished the song. Her voice was lovely!

So sublime! So perfect! Erik couldn't believe his own ears.

No one had sung like that since Christine!

"I'll take her. But not here, in fact, she will stay with me for awhile Junir." Erik informed her. Junir was speachless. Erik had never shown this much interest in a girl before. And such a young one too. "I'll wait out side." Erik said leaving.

Junir aprouched Juliet. "This is you're lucky night, girl. Come along, get ready." Junir told Juliet. Juliet was rushed off to her room where she packed a few things and then was led out side by Junir. "This is mousire Erik, you will be staying with him for a few days. Understood? Good. Erik, you're always welcome." Junir said, turning away and leaving the frightened Juliet alone with the stranger.

She had the pale face of a virgin. Erik could've seen that a mile away.

He held out his gloved hand. She hestated for a moment before taking it.

'This is the life you chose', she kept telling herself. Erik settled himself behind her and kicked his horse's side and they rode off down the street.

He could feel Juliet shaking against him. When they came to Erik's new home somewhere in the country he helped her off Caeser and tied his horse up in the barn.

He led Juliet into the house and locked the door behind them.

"You don't speak much, do you?" Erik asked, as he led her into the study.

She shook her head. "I could say the same thing about you." she answered.

He couldn't help but smile. "I guess you have to rest your voice." he said. She frowned. "Rest my...oh! My voice. No, i'm not a singer. It's just something Madame Junir has me do." she told Erik. They came to the study.

Erik took off his cloak and gloves. When he turned around Juliet was practicly in his face. "Shouldn't we go upstairs?" she asked him, in a trembling voice.

He shook his head, with out answering her. She frowned again. He passed by her and opened a desk drawer, pulling out old sheet music.

She shrugged. She walked up behind him. 'Be brave, he isn't that bad.' she told herself. She touched his shoulder. He turned around slowly and as quick as lightning she had captured him in a fiery kiss.

The kiss wasn't like ones he had had before. In fact, she wasn't that great of a kisser. He had had better. Much better.

He could tell she'd never been kissed.

He knew he shouldn't be kissing such a young girl but at the same time he couldn't fight down the sudden urge to-she gasped when his hand made contact with her breast. He pulled back.

She was gasping for air. "This was a mistake! I should never had become what I am." she said, shedding tears. He shook his head and comforteded her. "It's alright. I didn't ask you here to have sex you my dear. I asked you here to help you sing." she looked up at him. WHAT?

He smiled at her. She sighed. "Sing?" she questioned. He shook his head.

"Sing."
