Finite Infinity

By Emily Dickinson

Usagi

Life at times can be a never-ending trial that wears upon your soul.

This crucible of my life started when I was fourteen-years-old that

was when destiny caught up with me. What? I forgot to tell you my name?

Hmm, I guess I did. The let me correct that by introducing myself, I'm

Usagi Tsukino, Rabbit of the Moon, pretty original huh? Let me tell,

as weird as my name is it does really fit. Want to know why?

A millenium ago there was a kingdom on the moon called the Moon Kingdom

bet you guessed that. At that time it was ruled by Queen Serenity. You'll

never believe it, but I was her daughter, the Princess Serenity, heir

and future queen, neat right? The Moon Kingdom was peaceful and beautiful

and it seemed that it would last forever. One day though an evil force

called the Negaverse destroyed the Moon Kingdom. Mother, with the last

of her strength, sent others and myself into the future to be reborn.

I didn't remember any of this, seeing as how reincarnation will do

that to you. The first fourteen years of my life I led were ordinary.

I was a bit of a ditz, even looked like one with my blond hair place

up in the meatball buns with two thick strands hanging down from them

and bright blue eyes. One day on my way to school, late as usual, I

met a black cat with a crescent moon upon her forehead named Luna.

Luna-chan, who turned out to be able to talk, brought with her an end

to my normal life.

Many battles came, which I fought as the heroine Sailor Moon. I met up

with other reincarnations from the Moon Kingdom and Luna's partner a

white male cat named Artemis. Eventually I came across my love from

the Moon Kingdom, dear Endymion. Only he wasn't the same in this

reincarnation as Mamoru Chiba. I fooled myself into believing that he

still loved me like I loved him, but he didn't. As I grew older and

began to remember more of my past life, I too changed into a true

princess, not the selfish brat princess of the Moon Kingdom or the

class clown. I believe the only reason that Mamoru did not leave me

to date others was because of what we had seen in the future. A little

pink-haired girl name Chibi-Usa, the daughter of Mamoru and I, came

from the future seeking help. That small glimpse into what could be

kept him with me even as he began to slip away. We barely speak now,

but if I look twice at another man he becomes furious with anger...

sometimes he even hits me.

At least he used to hit me, until the bruises on my skin began to be

noticeable. Heh, you should have see my friend Makoto Kino a.k.a.

Sailor Jupiter and Haruka a.k.a. Sailor Uranus when they discovered

what he had done. The Sailor Scouts, warriors from the Moon Kingdom,

are divided into two separate groups. There are the inner scouts who

are my court and personal bodyguards: Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury,

Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter. Minako Aino, a.k.a. Sailor Venus

soldier of love and beauty, is a lot like I used to be. What with her

long blond hair and blue eyes it makes sense that people say we look

alike. Minako's come a long way too, she's a famous singer and actress

now, she travels all over the world and still finds time to visit me

and the others. Ami Mizuno, a.k.a. Sailor Mercury soldier of ice and

knowledge, has short blue hair and ice blue eyes. Even as a junior

high school student Ami-chan had been dedicated to her studies, now

she is a highly qualified doctor, one of the best in the world in

fact. Rei Hino, a.k.a. Sailor Mars soldier of fire and spirituality,

has long raven hair and violet eyes. Rei-chan and I used to fight all

the time when we were younger, she acted mean to me but I know that

was her way of pushing me into being the best. Makoto Kino, a.k.a.

Sailor Jupiter soldier of lightning and strength, wears her brown hair

in a ponytail and has green eyes. I think of Mako-chan as a sister,

she's always been there for me whenever I need her. As one of the

fighters of the scouts, Mako-chan usually solves her problems with her

fists. She's also a great cook and even owns her own restaurant. The

outer scouts are older than the inners and much more powerful because

their main job is to guard the entire Solar System. Haruka Ten'ou,

a.k.a. Sailor Uranus, soldier of sky and power, wears her blond hair

short and has sky blue eyes. Haruka-chan (ano, should that be Haruka-

kun?) is usually first mistaken for a boy because of the way she

dresses and even as a famous racer most of her fans think she's a guy.

Every since she found out I was the Moon Princess, Haruka-chan has

become even more protective than the inners. God, help anyone that

gets her mad! Michiru Kaiou, a.k.a. Sailor Neptune, soldier of sea and

tranquility, has wavy green hair and ocean colored eyes. She's Haruka's

ever-faithful companion and partner, calm to Haruka's fury. I guess

that her being calm helps in her music, she's a famous violinist.

Hotaru Tomoe, a.k.a. Sailor Saturn, soldier of destruction and

resurrection, has short dark purple hair and matching eyes. Sailor

Saturn is one of our strongest scouts and most frightening, she can

destroy the world with her power. Hotaru-chan is basically a sweet

girl who would never think about hurting a soul, she's following Ami's

example and is training to become a doctor. The last scout, Setsuna

Meiou, a.k.a. Sailor Pluto, soldier of time and space, has long green

hair that she wears partially up in a bun and the rest flowing down

her head and her eyes are red. Setsuna-san (well, she is the Guardian

of Time, I think Usagi would be a little respectful) is very mysterious,

I guess as the Guardian to the Gates of Time it's a requirement. She

acts casually but I can see the loneliness in her eyes, to live forever

and see those you care for die is something I would never wish on anyone.

I wish I could take the burden of her duty away from her. When she's

not traveling the time lines, Setsuna-san is a renowned clothes designer.

Thanks to Haruka-chan and Mako-chan, Mamoru is now in the hospital for

a good long while. I should be happy but I'm not. The future had looked

so pleasant; I was married to Darien and had a beautiful little girl.

I guess now that isn't happening...but I still want to marry and have

children. The others have noticed my reticence. They all took off on

vacation from their jobs and made me do the same with my modeling job.

Some how they had all gotten together and decided to take me on a trip

to China to cheer me up.

So here I am, dressed in baggy jeans and a blue tank top, with my eight

friends and two talking cats, listening to this guide tell us about

these supposed cursed springs of Jusenkyo. All it looked like was many

springs and various poles sticking out of the ground. "Here we have

Shonmaoniichuan, spring of drowned panda," their Chinese guide said

and began to explain its history.

Next to me, Mako-chan in her blue jeans and green tank top yawned.

"Boring...Hey, Usagi-chan," she said, getting my attention, "He said

this is a famous training ground right? So lets train!"

Haruka-chan and she had begun to teach me martial arts to defend

myself, it was hard at first but as I began to remember more of my

past life I also remembered the training Serenity had. Now I'm an

equal fighter, much to their disbelief. "I don't know...," I said

uncertainly.

"Come on, please?" she asked giving me a puppy dog look.

"All right..."

"Yes!" she yelled and with a great jump landed on one of the poles,

balancing herself on one foot.

"I don't like them being so reckless," commented Luna-chan, perched on

one of Mina-chan's shoulders.

"At least they're training," Artemis-kun told her on Mina-chan's other

shoulder.

As joined her on one of the other poles I could hear our guide freaking

out. "Madams don't! It very bad if you fall in!"

I couldn't reply because Mako-chan had launched off her pole to attack.

I launched off mine as well and met her in the air, exchanging blows.

My fist connected and sent her not into one of the springs but into

the solid ground. Her body stopped sliding in front of Haruka-chan and

Michiru-chan. I used the propulsion I had gained to land on another

pole. "Let's see how you do against me," grinned Haruka-chan, before

she jumped straight at me.

Her force made me loose my footing, sending me into a spring below.

The last thing I saw before I fell into the water was the shouting

about something.

Haruka

I was surprised at how quickly the princess defeated Mako-chan; I

shouldn't be though considering that I trained her personally. Once

the overall covered Ami-chan had confirmed Mako-chan was fine, I

decided to train a little myself. My beloved Michiru knew what I

planned on doing as she saw the grin on my face. "Go easy on her,"

she whispered to me.

I nodded before turning to our princess and declaring my challenge. I

surprised Neko-chan by attacking her directly and not waiting to get

on another of those poles. I claimed hers for me to balance on as I

waited for her to surface out of the spring I had just knocked her

into. As a blond-haired head emerged from the water, I heard the guide

say, "Oh too bad, you fall in Nannichuan, spring of drowned young man.

Very tragic story of how man drowned hear many years ago, now whoever

fall into spring become a man."

I had a very bad feeling about this.

Usagi

I blinked in disbelief as I heard the guide. My hair had fallen out of

its buns and was now hanging down in my face wet. I brushed the strands

out of my way in irritation. "Ah, Bunny?" I heard sunflower dress clad

Mina-chan choke.

I looked up to find her pointing at me with her finger with her eyes

wide in surprise. I followed her finger, which was aimed at my chest.

I looked down at my normally developed chest only to find it flat,

like a man's...a few seconds after I realized what had happened, I

did the only thing a sane, rational person would do...I screamed.

"AHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Setsuna

As Guardian to the Gates of Time, I've seen my share of the strange

and unusual. I was aware of Jusenkyo of course; its magic is very

powerful. I've learned that Fate decides who will fall into a spring

and who will not. A person's curse is meant to help that person play

a role in the future and full fill their destiny. That was one of the

reason's I did not dare protest going to this spot or letting them

train, I'm not one to get in the way of Destiny and Fate, they have

a tendency to punish those who interfere. Unfortunately, the springs'

power was great enough to block my sight of possibilities on what could

happen at the spring. To say the least I had not expected of all people

it to be the Princess who would fall in...

Michiru

I watched as Rei-chan and Ami-chan helped a shocked Usagi-chan out of

the magic spring. As soon as they were clear, Haruka-chan jumped down

from her pole to join the rest of us. Only I noticed that she had

misjudge how much power she needed and was about to land in the same

spring that Usagi-chan fell in. I held my breath and waited for the

splash that did not come. I walked over to her puzzled and found she

sat in what appeared to be a dried up spring. "How is it possible?" I

heard Ami-chan ask, muttering about evaporation being a much slower

process.

"Look like spring decide to change place again...or maybe it gone for

good?" the guide said.

"How can a spring decide anything!" Rei-chan demanded, obviously not

liking these uncontrolled magic springs.

"They cursed springs, very tragic story..."

Usagi

I guess another trial has been placed before me to overcome. At least

after things had calmed down I found out from the guide that hot water

could change me back into a girl. If I get splashed with cold water I

change back into a guy again...Oh, well it could be worse I could have

fallen into the spring of drowned panda...but I have to wonder how

will this effect my life?

Sailor Moon Dream

Chapter Two: Be careful what you wish for.

"You know," Jervis raised one eyebrow, "your father still don't half

believe but what you were after Tashir's tail the whole time. Aye, and

Medren, too."

Vanyel snorted.

"In fact," Jervis continued, "to hear him in his cups, you've had half

the boys in Valdemar."

Vanyel put his mug down. "If that's a question," he replied acidly,

"you can tell him from me that it's been so damned long that both you

and those sheep in Long Meadow are starting to look good!"

Jervis gave him a long, thoughtful look, and Vanyel wondered if he'd

said too much, too freely. He tried to ready an apology-when Jervis

gave him a long, slow grin.

"Stick to the sheep," the armsmaster advised impudently. "They don't

snore."

Usagi

It's been two weeks since that trip to the cursed springs in China.

It's been tough adjusting to the fact that whenever I'm hit with cold

water I turn into a guy. Currently I was finishing up a shoot for my

employers' summer special catalogue.

"That's it for the day, Usagi-san," my manager called out to me.

I nodded in thanks and left to get changed. Ever since I got my curse

I've had to adjust my wardrobe dramatically. I mean if I get it with

cold water while I'm wearing a dress can imagine the reaction I would

get? So I've begun to wear clothes suitable for both sexes. Usually a

pair of baggy pants and some kind of shirt that was not considered too

feminine. This means that most of my pink shirts and all my dresses

have been put in storage for the time being.

I do have to say this curse has given me a greater appreciation for

the male gender. The only problem is that even when I'm male I think

like a girl, which has caused some confusion to say the least. Rei-

chan says its because I act like I'm like Haruka-chan and Michiru-chan

when I'm a guy cause I happen to still have a great appreciation for

good looking men. Mina-chan more than once has tried to convince me

to go out with her in my guy form, to say the least she has not been

successful.

After I changed I proceeded to get into my car and head for the Rei-

chan's temple. Setsuan-san had called a Senshi meeting. When I spoke

to her on the phone, she had refused to give me the reason why she had

called for the meeting. It's nice to see that Setsuna-san is still up

to her mysterious ways.

As I made it to the top of the stairs I immediately noticed how all

the talk ceased. Every one of the scouts was there waiting for me. I

gasped as I noticed pink hair in a bunny ear style. "Chibi-Usa...?"

I whispered.

The small look a like of mine turned her head toward me at the sound

of her name. "Mama!" Chibi-Usa cried out before flinging herself into

my waiting arms.

I clutched onto the sobbing child, my own face streaked with tears.

"How...?" I asked.

Setsuna-san's was the one to explain. "Seeing how Mamoru and you won't

be together and you still care for Chibi-Usa you've been granted this

boon."

"It's for taking care of that whole Chaos fisco!" Mina-chan put in

cheerfully.

"That's fiasco," muttered Rei-chan.

"Whatever!"

It's hard not to smile even with my eyes stinging from the saltwater.

Even after all this time, Minako still can't seem to get some things

right. The other scouts laughed at the frustrated look Rei gave. "So

you're here to stay?" I asked Chibi-Usa, hesitant that it was not true.

She let go of me and look at the ground with a sad look on her face. I

could see the other senshi, except for Setsuna-san look at her too with

similar expressions of curiosity. I guess they didn't get much more of

an explanation than I did. Setsuna-san answered for her, "Usagi-hime,

when you dumped Mamoru you changed the future. Crystal Tokyo no longer

will come into existence and...neither will Chibi-Usa." I opened my

mouth to protest but she cut me off. "Please let me finish...Powers

higher than you can imagine have decided that you deserved a gift for

all that 'Destiny' has put you through. Chibi-Usa was pulled from her

now non existent future as that gift."

With new tears in my eyes I pulled Chibi-Usa into a tight hug. "I

think she likes her gift," mussed Haruka (no more chans unless

speaking, my fingers hurt with the effort) with a smile.

Following her my example, Michiru pulled her into a hug. "Usa-chan's

not the only one," she told Haruka, nodding to the cheerful Hotaru,

"She's got her best friend back."

Hotaru

When I first caught site of Chibi-Usa walking along side of Setsuna I

could barely believe my eyes. Here I was a full grown teenage girl and

Chibi-Usa, my best friend, was still a little girl just like she was

the last time I saw her...I knew it would strange with the age

differences but I don't think age matters in friendship.

Usagi

A little over a month had passed since Chibi-Usa came to live with me.

It's still hard to believe that this time she's my daughter for keeps.

I had to move out of my apartment; it was far to small for Chibi-Usa

and I, not to mention one talking feline by the name of Luna. It

hadn't bothered me to buy a nice house; I get more than enough money.

The only reason I hadn't bought a house sooner is I felt that it would

be too lonely for one girl and a cat. Now with a wild eight-year-old I

needed that extra space.

"I want to go into that store, Kassan," Chibi-Usa said pointing with

the hand that was not holding mine.

We were in the mall to shop for some clothes for Rini and myself. Rini

had taken the truth about my curse surprisingly well. Her explanation

was so sweet! "Now I have a Kaa-san and Tou-san in one." From that

moment on she had started calling my male side "Tou-san", which even

though it feels weird endears her to me.

"Star's Magic and Charm Shop," I read, "...I don't know...whenever I

go to places like that I end up finding a new enemy."

"Please!" begged Chibi-Usa.

Not want to fight with her I said, "Alright, but only for a few

minutes, we have to meet the others at Mako-chan's."

"Yes!" she cheered and ran into the magic shop.

I followed at a slower pace. Chibi-Usa was already gazing at the odd

assortment of accessories. As soon as she saw me she came running up

with some thing in her hand. "This would be perfect for you!" she

squealed and handed me her find.

It was a large metal locket, which was circular in shape but had no

jewel in it though it was apparent that it was designed to. Closing

the locket I studied the cover's designs. Bordering the edges in small

engravings where the nine planet's symbols. Within the middle of the

cover was an upturned gold crescent moon. Between the symbol border

and the crescent moon the cover was separated into four quadrants. The

upper right quadrant and the carving of a beautiful white horse, the

upper left quadrant had a flaming sun, the lower left quadrant had a

lapis lazuli blue star, and the lower right quadrant had a silver

bird.

"It's beautiful..." I breathed.

"So you're going to get it?"

I nodded. "I've been looking for something to keep the silver crystal

in, you know how easy it is to lose it."

My daughter blushed at the reminder of how we first met. Smiling

gently at her I headed for the cash register. "Ah a very good choice

miss," said 'Star', "This locket is very old and powerful, it is said

to grant its wearer wishes."

That's all I need...some wish to go wrong and ruin my fragile peace.

Makoto

"Mina-chan, stay out of the food! Wait until Usa-chan and Chibi-Usa

get here!" I told the blond for the tenth time since she arrived at my

restaurant.

We had planned to celebrate Usagi and Chibi-Usa's birthdays, but

SOMEONE kept getting into the snacks. Believe me this is Usagi and

Chibi-Usa we're talking about, I needed as much food I could get

without losing profit. Luckily Rei and Haruka had kept Minako at bay

so she didn't have to tie her up to keep her away from the food.

"But I'm so hungry!" Minako whined.

Maybe I should tie her up anyway...and gag her too.

Usagi

"I'm full...couldn't eat another bite!" I announced.

"I should hope not," muttered Rei, "you've finished of half the food

by yourself."

"Well I had help," I stated, pointing to a sick looking Chibi-Usa.

"Kaa-san, I don't feel to good..."

"That's because you ate too much sweets."

"And you didn't?" said Rei sarcastically.

"Well..."

"I thought so."

Even though I stuck my tongue out at her I was smiling inwards. Good

friends were what kept me going on hard days. But there has been

something missing in my life...a true love. I glance down at my locket

that contained the silver locket. Grasping it in my hand I wished with

all my might to find true happiness.

I should have known better...it's always best to be cautious in

wishing, but even I didn't expect what happened next.

Setsuna

My snapped up as I felt the shift in some timelines...ten timelines to

be exact, our ten timelines. The future took a full 180-degree change

in direction...almost as if our presence would no longer be on this

world. An increase in power caught my attention. It was from the

princess... but it wasn't her power I sensed. "Hime!" was all I got

out before the world around me went blank.

Vanyel

Returning to Haven after six months of non-stop travel brought relief

to me. My plan was for my Companion Yfandes and I to stay longer enough

in Haven to report then for me to take a well-deserved vacation.

As we began to wine down for the night, Yfandes spoke up to me in an

alarmed mind-voice: I see two people up ahead, they appear to be

unconscious.:

As a Herald it was my duty to investigate what could be two people in

need.

Just as Yfandes had said there was two of them. One was a young girl

with hair that looked strangely like it was pink, which was put up in

an even stranger hair style that resembled two bunny ears. She had on

a dress of red in a style that was not familiar to me. The other

appeared to be an attractive young man with long golden hair that gave

him feminine features. He wore pants made of a strange blue fabric and

a simple white shirt.

It appeared another mystery was on hand.

Sailor Moon Dream

Chapter Three: Two Bunnies in the Middle of the Road

By Delphine

"Shay'a'chern," supplied Cress. "It's some outland tongue."

"What's it mean?" Vanyel asked.

Reva giggled, and whispered, "That he doesn't like girls. He likes

boys. Lucky boys!"

From Magic's Pawn by Mercedes Lackey

Vanyel

Once I had camp set up and had a fire going I took the time to study

my strange guests. Besides the candy pink hair in the bunny eared

hairstyle, the little girl appeared to be like any other eight-year-

old girl. Her companion on the other hand was different. A young man

with golden hair let completely down and reaching nearly just past his

knees. There was a strange aura about him that my mage-sight picked

up, an aura that only other Shay'a'chern had.

:What do you see?: Yfandes asked, her mind voice sounding curious.

"An aura as if he was shaych," I answered, blinking tiredly. "I think

I've been on the road to long because my sight can't even distinguish

that he's male, it keeps showing me an image of the man and then a

girl similar in looks to the man."

I wasn't lying I was truly exhausted. : How peculiar: Yfandes said.

"Yes, a true mystery...one that I'm not up to solving today. I don't

think I guests are going to wake up for awhile so I think I'll join

them."

:You just want to sleep next to that attractive looking blond: she

teased.

"Yea, well you're not wrong there," I admitted before lying down next

to young man on the bedroll I had spread out, the little girl was on

Yfandes blanket, which she wore on cold days, with Yfandes laying next

to her across the campsite from me.

I do have to say I rather enjoyed it when he turned to snuggle up to

me...even if we hardly knew one another...and I had sworn to not let

anyone close...

Usagi

Warmth...wonderful warmth was the first thing I felt as I awakened. I

found my self tangled around another's body...a male body. Heat rushed

to my face as I realized how very close we were...and my dream...just

how much of did I act out? Luna's told me how I talk and act in my

sleep. The blush deepened to scarlet when I discovered that I was in

my boy form. Hesitantly, I sought the face of the cuddled man. Silver

eyes met my blue ones and drowned me in them...

Vanyel

A shift in the body held in my arms awakened me. A rarely seen blush

crept over my face as soft, silky hands began to explore underneath my

shirt. Athletic legs covered in the strange blue fabric straddled my

hips and pushed against me suggestively. I'd be lying if I said that

I wasn't aroused by his acts. The only thing that restrained me from

tearing off both of our clothes and taking him was that he wasn't even

awake. Once he settled I managed to fall back to sleep...

Usagi

It was a good thing I was laying down; I think that if I had been

standing up I would have fainted. I quickly untangled myself and

scrambled to my feet, hoping to prevent any further embarrassment.

Not able to meet the gaze of those silver eyes again I instead turned

to study my surroundings.

There was a former fire, little embers still aglow by me. Across I

could see a gorgeous white mare that I could only assume belonged to

the man I just...cuddled. I caught the sight of a head of familiar

pink hair near the mare. I could see Chibi-Usa's head moving as she

began to wake up.

I dashed to her, sweeping her up into a protective embrace. "Tou-

san?" she questioned.

"Not now, Chibi-Usa," I hushed her.

I finally looked at the man with silver eyes, studying him. He wore

his white hair down just passed his shoulders and had on a white

uniform. Joining him was the whitest mare I had ever laid eyes on. She

could have given Helios in his pegasus form a run for his money I the

beauty department. "Who are you?" I asked.

Vanyel

I made no move as not to alarm my strange guests, not even as Yfandes

came to my side. The beautiful young man, a boy really, said something

in a strange language. One that did not sound even remotely familiar.

"I'm afraid I don't understand you," I told him at the same time as I

reached out to touch his mind, to instill my meaning.

To my surprise I found frighteningly strong shields so subtle that I

had not even noticed them on my initial probe. I quickly probed the

little girl and found similar shields.

My puzzlement was short lived for not long after I had made my reply

the boy began to speak again.

Usagi

English, the man spoke English. Was I in America? No, the outfit

didn't look remotely like something an American would wear. And that

horse of his was not of any breed I had seen, and of late horses had

become a hobby of mine.

I guess I'll have to reply. Why did he have to speak English? My

French is better than my English is, it should be since I had done

many fashion shows in Paris. Well here I go...

Vanyel

"I is sorry, sir, I not know you not understand me," he spoke in

broken Common Speech. "I ask who you are?"

"I am Herald-Mage Vanyel," I told him. "And you are?"

I studied his face carefully. My title meant nothing to him, that I

could plainly see. It was a moment before he answered me. "Usagi

Tsukino and my daughter, Chibi-Usa."

My eyes widened at that piece of news. He didn't look old enough to

have a daughter her age.

Chibi-Usa

I nearly laughed at the bug-eyed expression that appeared on this

exotic looking man, Vanyel. People often are surprised when they find

out the relationship between Kaa-san and I. I covered up my amusement

with a question, "Where are we, Vanyel-san?"

I am pleased to say that my English is better than my "father's". But

if you had Ami Mizuno as your personal tutor then I guarantee that you

would be too. My father frowned a little as I showed off my language

skills. I just smiled.

Usagi

"Little brat," I whispered in Japanese. I couldn't help it. It was a

years born reaction to that sugar sweet smile of hers.

Vanyel, recovered quickly from the bombshell I had just dropped, said,

"You're in Valdemar."

I had no clue where Valdemar was and said so.

Vanyel

"Nani?" Usagi asked. "I mean, where is Valdemar?"

The little girl rolled her eyes. "Baka, Tou-san! Valdemar is obviously

a country." She glanced at me. "Right, Vanyel-san?"

A few of the strange words confused me but not enough that I did not

understand what she had asked. "Yes, Valdemar is the country you're

currently in," I told them.

Usagi bit his lip slightly in an endearing manner. "Ano, how is it we

got here?" he wondered.

He looked so completely lost that my heart went out to him. :Let's

take them with us, Chosen: spoke Yfandes for the first time.

:Agreed: Out loud I said, "I do not know what troubles plague you, but

as a Herald it is my duty to help people in need. If you wish you may

come with me to the capital. On the way you can tell me your troubles."

Father and daughter looked at each other, nodded, and said, "Thank you

very much."

Chapter Four: Healer of Ice

*So Far: Usagi and Chibi-Usa met up with Vanyel and Yfandes and are

now headed to the city of Haven in Valdemar.

Now keep in mind that the next chapters aren't linear, they're going

on at the same time only to different people. *

Ami

I had no idea how I had arrived here in this strange forest. My only

logical guess is that strange power burst that had caused me to lose

consciousness had some how transported me here. I looked around once

again, absorbing the sight of my surroundings.

As I previously stated, I was in a forest unknown to me. It was made up

of an army of trees, from the littlest sprout to the hugest of ancient

trees that could easily rival a modern building in greatness. With no

previous training, I was out of my element. My only hope would be to

find some kind of civilization.

My path decided I would have to take my steps. I could use my Mercury

Computer in my civilian form but I decided that I should transform so

that I could better protect myself. "Mercury Crystal Power, Make Up!"

I shouted, holding up my transformation pen.

I felt the familiar icy touch of my transformation embrace me; sweeping

through my body so that every nerve tingled from the cool power. It

lasted, in reality, less than a minute, but to me it lasted hours. As

the power faded, I was left in my transformed state as Sailor Mer-what?

I was not wearing the usual sailor outfit, no my clothes were much

different. I was dressed in a pale blue robe that had silver threaded

Mercurial runes engraved into the robe. A brilliant sapphire cut into

the shape of the symbol for the planet Mercury had been attached to

the robe just over my heart.

What had caused such a traumatic change in my wardrobe? Even the few

power up-grades I had of in my Sailor Mercury form were much subtler

in their changes than this. The only cause I could see for such a

change was that I would somehow need it in the coming future.

Wondering if I could still access my Mercury computer, I attempted to

call up the Virtual Reality Eye Visor that I could use as Sailor Mercury.

To my relief the blue tinted screen came across my eyes at my command

like always. I quickly set the search perimeters to detect any human

life.

Almost immediately the Mercury Computer started spitting out information

on the nearest human who happened to be located no very far away.

Subject: Male, Middle Twenties

Status: Injured

"Nani?" I shouted.

If someone was injured, as a doctor it was my duty to help him. I used

the computer to get the injured man's exact location and followed in

the direction given to me as fast as my feet would carry me. All I have

to say, is I am grateful for the fact that my footwear had changed

too, into travel boots made of white leather that seemed to be dirt

resistant.

I looked around as I entered the glade that the injured man was to be

in. To my surprise a large hawk flew at me almost immediately. I threw

out my arm instinctively to defend myself. Talons closed upon my arm

and a great weight settled. I blinked in surprise as I gazed into the

hawk's sharp gold speckled brown eyes. Its grip was almost painful but

my new robe appeared to be made of the same material as my previous

sailor suit, so it protected my arm against the deadly talons.

: Help!: came a voice in my head, it had come from the hawk.

The talons let go and the hawk took off, flying across the glade, and

landing next to what I could safely assume to be the injured man.

:Help: the hawk said again.

I hurried over to the man, using my computer to scan his injuries. He

wouldn't survive if I couldn't force his body to heal faster. Saturn

could have done it with her planet powers but I wasn't so sure I could.

It doesn't matter; I had no choice but to try. It was his only chance

for survival.

I calmed my mind, blocking out everything around me until I was only

aware of him and me. Searching within myself I felt for the core of

my power, a well if you will. Metaphysical rivers filed that well of

power directly from the renewable power source of the planet Mercury.

There it was. I drew upon that power, forcing it into my hands, which

hovered over the wounded man. A blue glowing aura surrounded my hands

and the man as I forced the power out of my hands and into the wounds,

willing them to heal.

Slowly, the wounds closed and the glow faded as I released my power.

The effort had exhausted me and I found myself lying down next to the

now healed man. My eyes fluttered close and I slipped into a tired

sleep.

Icesong

At first, I wondered if I perhaps was dead. That would explain why I

felt nothing from the fatal wound. But no I wasn't dead for as I opened

my pale blue eyes I recognized the glade I was in as the one where I

had battled that rate looking Changechild and lost. My wounds were

completely healed as I had already stated, but by who?

The answer to that question I discovered was lying right next to me. A

girl was curled up into a sleeping position, her blue robes billowing

about her like a silken puddle. What was surprising was her hair was

colored a dark blue.

My bondbird landed onto the ground. :Girl help. Heal.: Kirsti told me.

I held out my arm and she hopped on, making her way up to my shoulder

where she perched. I then knelt down next to the girl. Despite the

color of her robes, I know she was a Healer that was the only way I

could have possibly been healed of my wounds so quickly.

The Changechild that injured me would eventually come back and I didn't

wish to be here when it did. Not all of my strength had returned and I

knew I would not be able to carry her back to the k'Chona Vale. I had

no choice; I would have to wake her up no matter how unwise I knew it

was to awaken a Healer from exhaustion caused sleep.

Using my mind I reached out to hers only to find shields in place,

protecting the core of her mind. I had expected such a shield so all

I did was merely brush against her shields. My mind brushes would feel

like someone was tickling her mind. She would be woken up by pure

irritation.

It did not take long. A groan and wrinkling of the nose preceded the

opening of sapphire blue eyes. I watched as she took in my features,

from my bleached white hair dyed with brown and green leaf patterns

to the bondbird on my shoulder. Her voice when she spoke was quizzical

but also full of confidence that one has whom is sure of his or her

abilities. "Ossu?"

"I am afraid I do not speak your home language," I told her, after the

unfamiliar term was spoken, in common speech.

"Gomen...Sorry," she said, switching to Common. "I was unaware that

this region's language was English."

"English?" I questioned as I helped her to her feet.

She blinked at me and said, confusedly, "English is what we are

speaking."

"Is English your language's word for Common Speech?" I asked her.

Ami

I had hoped I was wrong. That I was just in another country. But no...

I was in a different world. How could I explain such a thing? I would

have to ponder upon such a problem, but not now. This man I healed was

awaiting my answer. "Yes, I suppose you could say that." I bowed

respectfully. "My name is Ami Mizuno, might I enquire yours?"

He opened his mouth to answer but a large screech caused him to close

it and look around cautiously. He turned sharply to me. "I am Icesong,"

he told me, grabbing my wrist, "and we are going to be in danger if we

don't go now."

He dragged me into a run just as his hawk flew off his shoulder and

took into the air. "Where are we going?" I gasped out.

"To k'Chona Vale, to my people. We'll be safe there," Icesong said.

I had no choice but to allow him to drag me. I only could hope that

this k'Chona Vale would have someone who could help me with my

particular situation.

Sailor Moon Dream

Chapter Five: Bard of Love

By Delphine

Minako

The noise of laughter and talking filled the Inn of the Flying Gryphon

dining and barroom. Waitresses dressed in blue cloth dresses with gold

dyed feathers bustled here and there, taking orders and delivering

them. The customers that sat at the wood made tables were all of

different classes, from the shabbily dressed to those wearing silk

clothes that had been personally made. That was the sight that greeted

me as I walked down the stairs.

I was dressed in a tarnished-gold dyed smock that covered a plain off-

white dress. A white one had replaced my normal red bow. Black lady-

like shoes covered my feet. All in all, I looked like a grown-up

version of Alice in Wonderland only I was in gold and white instead of

blue and white.

You're probably wondering how I came to be here. That power surge

had somehow transported me to this called Westmark. The owner of the

Flying Gryphon found me in an alley way unconscious. Heris Timber had

twogirls around my age that had been married off and I suppose he was

suffering from empty nest syndrome. For he took me in immediately when

he found out I was lost. I faked partial amnesia, thinking it would be

easier then explaining I was not of this world.

I happened to mention to him my talent for singing and he talked me

into singing one song for the evening crowd. He told me that a Master

Bard was to be entertaining that same evening but I could sing during

his break.

That break had come, it seems. The scarlet clad figure of the bard

was leaving the stage and took a seat at an empty table by it where a

waitress immediately poured him a glass of wine. Timber-san handed me

an old but in good condition lute as I headed for the stage. The lute

was the closest thing to a guitar I could find and would have to do.

I had a hard time deciding on what to sing. At first I thought to sing

one of my own but non-seemed to fit in this environment. I eventually

decided on the song "Man's Road" from the cartoon movie "The Last

Unicorn."

I took a seat on the stool that was on the stage before plucking a few

chords, warming my fingers up. I glanced at the crowd, which had grown

quiet and all eyes were trained on me. The bard had a strange, thoughtful

look on his face, and such a nice face it was. He had dark brown that

reached his shoulders in a silken wave and startling green eyes.

Ignoring the growing butterflies in my stomach, I launched into the

song.

"Horizon rising up to meet the purple dawn Dust demon screaming, bring

an eagle to lead me on For in my heart I carry such a heave load Here

I am on Man's road, walking Man's road, walking Man's road

I'm hungry, weary, but I cannot lay me down The rain comes, dreary,

but there's no shelter I have found It will be a long time till I find

my abode Here I am on Man's road, walking Man's road

Moon rising, disguising lonely streets in gay displays The stars fade,

the night shade falls and makes the world afraid It waits in silence

for the sky to explode Here I am on Man's road, walking Man's road,

walking Man's road Walking Man's road, walking Man's road, walking

Man's road..."

I looked up as I finished my song. To my surprise, I found my audience

in a sort of trance. They sat, staring at me in a type of rapt fascination.

As the silence reigned they seemed to slowly wake up and the next thing

I knew everyone was standing up and clapping. A standing ovation on my

first performance here!

As the applause settled down, I gave a graceful curtsy, and with the

lute in hand I headed off the stage. I past the bard, who was heading

onto the stage. He leaned over and whispered, "See me after the crowd

leaves."

I blushed at the feel of his warm breath against my ear. "O-okay," I

said.

He gave me a heart throbbing smile.

The inn didn't clear out until later that night. Finally, people filed

out to go home or to their rooms in the inn. The Master Bard, who I

found out was named Rowen Typhonus, was waiting for at the same table

he had sat at before. I approached the table. "Ano, you wanted to speak

to me?" He gestured for me to sit down, which I did.

"Did you know that you have enough gifts to be in Bardic Collegium?"

Rowan asked.

I wasn't so sure about what he meant. "Bardic Collegium, Rowen-san?"

I questioned. "I am not from this country and am unwise in its ways."

Rowen nodded. "That would explain why you hadn't been discovered by

another bard before now." He smiled at me before explaining, "The

Gift, Talent, and Creativity are what sets bards apart from the normal

street minstrel. You have the first two gifts and I suspect the third

as well. It only takes two gifts to be excepted in Bardic Collegium

where the Bards of Valdemar are trained."

At last I understood. "So you wish for me to go with you to...where is

the Bardic Collegium?"

"Haven."

I had heard that name before. It was the capital of Valdemar, I

believe. "You want me to go to Have and train to become a Bard?"

"Essentially."

Well, there was only one answer for that. "Yes!" I said, excitedly,

"Ano, when do we leave?"

Timber-san was sad to see me go but he also was glad for my good

fortune. I promised him that I would play at his inn when I completed

my training. Rowen and I set out the next morning. I was force to sit

behind him on his horse for I had no one of my own. "How long will it

take us to make it to Haven?"

"Four days as the soonest," was his reply.

I barely held back a groan. What I wouldn't give for a car!

Sailor Moon Dream

Chapter Six: Cats of the Moon

By Delphine

Hotaru

I cried out as I tripped over a tree branch, a rock opening a gash

at my knee. My captor cursed at me in a harsh variant of English and

pulled me to my feet. I weakly attempted to escape his grasp but it

was no use. I have never been physically strong and he was so much

larger than I that I didn't stand a chance.

When I had appeared in this desolate world of trees in the after math

of the huge power surge, I was almost immediately jumped. Luna and

Artemis, who had appeared with me, had tried to fend him off to know

affect. I wasn't even given enough time to transform.

So here I am, being dragged to some unknown destination, with no

knowledge of what is to happen to me. I hope Luna and Artemis are

okay.

Luna

Artemis and I froze as the beast came into view. It looked like a

cross between a wolf and a plains cat. Did I mention that it was huge!

It approached us as it spotted us. We froze in place, too scared to

move for fear of provoking it. : What are you doing so far from any

human villages, my little friends?: an amused voice asked.

I must have jumped five feet into the air at the sound of the masculine

voice in my head. In that instant of surprise my body had already reacted

to the danger. By the time my paws touched the ground my blue-black

fur was fluffed up, my ears flattened protectively against my skull,

and my lips curled back from my teeth as I let out a frightening hiss.

Artemis, being the coward he is, had hidden immediately underneath a

hollowed out tree only to be kicked out by a group of angry squirrels.

They made rude, chattering noises and pummeled him with acorns until

he ran out of their reach, speeding by Luna. "Squirrels! They're worse

then mice," he muttered, not watching where he was going. CRASH! Artemis

ran straight into the solid form of the cat-wolf.

Catching sight of the obstacle, Artemis yowled and attempted to run

again only the opposite way. Quick as lightning the cat-wolf lunged

forward and caught Artemis by the scruff of the neck with it's mouth.

Third Person

"Let me go, furball!" Artemis demanded in English. (Minako and he were

from England so he switches to English when he's distraught.)

:I hardly think you have a right to criticize: said the same voice with

a tinge of boredom. :Now stop struggling before you end up ripping out

your fur.:

The white cat stopped. "Could you put me down now?" he growled out, in

English since he knew that the cat-wolf understood it.

:Of course.: The cat-wolf let him down. :I'm going to have cat fur in

my mouth for the next month as it is.:

"Well excuse me, its not like I asked you to snatch me up with you

mouth," Artemis drawled.

"Don't be rude, baka no Neko," Luna hissed, as she came over to the two.

"I am not stupid!" Artemis cried, out raged.

"That's your opinion only."

If this had been an anime the cat-wolf would have been sweat dropping.

As it was it managed to make a rather human-like baffled expression.

:I'm afraid I don't know much about Valdemarian humans and their pets

but I don't believe cats normally talk much less argue with each other.

Unless you from Karse?:

"Valdemar, Karse?" Luna tested the names. They didn't sound like any

places she knew on Earth. "I'm afraid I don't know where either Valdemar

or Karse is. But as for talking, all Lunarian cats talk...at least

they used to. Artemis and I are the last of our kind."

:Some of your words are foreign to me as well, so perhaps we should

start at the beginning. I am Carish of the Kyree,: the cat-wolf said.

"Kyree...Very well, this Artemis and I am Luna, Chief Advisors to

Crown Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom."

:Moon Kingdom-Lady, I fear you are quite far from your home.:

"No shit, Sherlock," mutter Artemis.

With a quick swipe, Luna clawed his face. "I already told you not to

be rude," she told him.

"Kowaii no Neko," he grumbled.

Her amber eyes narrowed at the white cat. "Don't push it," Luna

growled, very scarily.

Artemis gulped and cowered. She snorted as she saw him lay on the

ground trembling. "Coward," she said, distainly.

"I'm still hurting from the kidnappers, Luna," he defended.

:What kidnapper?: Carish demanded.

"Some man took our friend, Hotaru. He was really ugly and dressed

horribly," told Artemis.

Luna snorted. "You've been hanging around Minako for to long if your

noticing what people are wearing."

The Kyree seemed to ponder this new information. :Is you friend a

mage?: he asked curiously.

"I'm not sure what you would consider a mage around here, but Hotaru

can use magic so I suppose that's close enough," Luna figured.

:I was afraid of that,: Carish said gravely. :I fear your friend was

taken by a blood-mage.:

Chapter Seven: Priestess of Fire

By Delphine

Rei

Usagi no baka! She seems to just live to ruin my life. I just know

she's responsible for me being lost here, wherever her is. I have been

walking down this dirt road for Kami knows how long. All I've seen in

sight is a never-ending reign of grass, trees, and wild flowers.

Wait a minute, I think I see something in the distance. Grey- tents!

Thank Kami! I wanted to run over to the encampment quickly as possible

but I held back. I don't know anything about these people; they might

not even be able to understand me.

I wasn't even sure if I was dressed in clothes that they would deem

appropriate. After all I was wearing my miko clothes, I hadn't had

time to change before I'd gone to the party, and as far as I knew only

a select few wore my type of clothing.

Well no use worrying, I had to give it a try. I started to walk again.

A sentry stopped me as I approached what must have been the outer

perimeter of the encampment. "Hold and state your business," he

ordered in English.

Well, her goes nothing. I bowed respectfully. "Sir, I am Rei Hino,

a humble priestess that finds herself lost."

"Priestess, huh, ya know any healing?"

I wonder why he was asking. "I know the basics, but I'm afraid my

skills lie in other areas," I answered truthfully.

"What kind of skills?" He was obviously very interested in me for some

reason.

"Oh, charms, wards to keep off evil, fire spells, visions of the past

and future, that sort of thing."

It was then that I noticed just how young the sentry really was. He

couldn't have been past twenty, not with that baby face. Then again, I

wasn't much older than he was. "Ano...are you in need of my services?"

The sentry blinked. "Me, no. One of the members of the company was

cursed during battle and our master mage was injured too much to

remove it and the others don't have the skills to. The man will die

if he doesn't get the curse removed soon."

"Wakatta, ima take me to him," I ordered.

The boy guided me through the maze of tents until we reached on that

was much larger than the rest. "In here," he told me, pulling back the

entrance flap.

I stepped inside not bothering to see if he had followed me. I looked

around, studying each patient that lay on a demented type of futon. Each

had various wounds, some serious and others minor - but still keeping

them out of action- type, all were physical. Except one, a man with a

dark skin tone and braided black hair that reached just past his

shoulders. The feeling of evil surrounded the man, choking the life

out of him.

I moved forward towards him only to be stopped by a man not much younger

than Ojii-san who was wearing a green robe. "She's a priestess, Jehct,"

the sentry told him.

The old man, Jehct, nodded and moved out my way. I reached the injured

man's side and knelt down. I pulled out my prayer beads and wrapped

them around my right hand like a Catholic would with their rosary.

With that same hand I touched him on the forehead with the gentleness

of a mother attending her sick child. I then closed my violet eyes and

concentrated on establishing a link between our minds. With this new

connection I could see that he had been fighting the curse on a mental

level, all I would have to do would be to help. That meant I would

literally have to go into his mind, allowing my spirit to manifest

itself on the mental plane of battle.

Steeling myself I let my spirit slip from my physical shell and into

that of the injured man's. When I opened my eyes I found myself in a

totally different setting.

It looked like I was in some kind of ancient ruins surrounded by an

endless plain. This place had to represent something to the person

whose mind I was in. It didn't take me long to locate the mental

manifestations of my patient and the curse he suffered.

The man was wearing black leather armor and clutched in his hand a

sword straight out of the medieval times. He was fighting what

appeared to be a wolf with serpentine features. Clearly this monster

represented the curse.

It was only then that I noticed just what form I had taken. I was

dressed in red leather from head to toe; it reminded me of what a

group of woman called Mord-Sith in a book by Terry Goodkind that I

had once read wore. In my hand was a red wood bow, with flame designs

painted onto the sides. I had no quiver full of arrows but that didn't

concern me. The bow was a magical weapon that had belonged to the

Royal Mars family for generations. I had used it as one of my attacks

as Senshi Sailor Mars. When I wanted to use it an arrow would appear

for my use. Like now. As soon as I brought the bow up in attack

position an arrow of fire appeared. Taking aim, I shot at the monster.

My blazing arrow struck it just below its rib cage causing it to

shriek in pain. The warrior glanced at me, surprise written on his

face. "Strike it down, now!" I shouted.

My respect for the young warrior raised dramatically as he swung his

sword at the creature without hesitation. The monster gave on last

piercing cry before falling down dead.

"Thank you," he said.

I waved my hand. "You did it yourself, I just helped." Smiling, I took

his hand, startling him. "Ima ikisho!" In a flash of light we left the

spiritual plane and returned to our bodies. Overcome by exhaustion I

fainted. My last thought was that hadn't even learned the warrior's

name.

Chapter Eight: Guardian of Time

By Delphine

Setsuna

By the Goddess, my body ached. It felt like all the years I had lived

were finally catching up to me. I wished desperately for Motrin and a

soft bed to lay in but that was not to be, at least I didn't think it

was. My vision of the future had been so skewed that I only caught

brief glimpses if I tried hard enough.

I didn't want to think about what could have effected my senshi

abilities so much, but I did anyway. Lost in the woods of an unknown

world gave a person nothing but time to think. I wondered what would

come of the Earth without us there to protect it. But then I counseled

myself by reminding me that the Sailor Senshi weren't Earth's only

heroes. I just hope they're ready for the task. The road would be long

for them without the possibility of Neo Queen Serenity purifying the

world. But perhaps the people of Earth would create their own Crystal

Tokyo. Mamoru may be a bakayarou but he is still the Prince of Earth.

I can only hope he will eventually see the error of his ways and seek

to redeem himself by leading his people justly. After all his previous

incarnation, Prince Endymion was a pure hearted soul who cared for his

people very much.

Why am I thinking about this now! I should be more concerned about

finding my way in this Kami-forsaken forest. Trees, trees, trees! It's

enough to make want to go into the lumber business. Nature is so not

my thing, but what do you expect from me when you consider I've spent

most of my life guarding the Gates of Time, which exist in a barren

dimension.

Kuso, I'm doing it again! Focus, Setsuna, you have to find out where

you are!

:That I can answer easy enough,: stated an amused voice.

The voice sounded like a wizened old woman that had seen much and was

willing to share her experiences with others. :You're not far off,

youngling,: the same voice admitted. Before I could protest about my

age, the voice added, :I know just how old you are, but you've spent

most of those years guarding those gates of yours. You don't really

have any experience in just living.:

She was right, unfortunately. I was like a child who had been sheltered

in a monastery her entire life. It would explain why I had such a hard

time helping to raise Hotaru, for I knew nothing of how to take care

of a child.

:You said you could tell me where I am,: I questioned, forming the

words in my mind.

:Valdemar is the country you are currently in and as you may have

guessed this is not your world.:

Now I had a name, I just had to find the nearest town and try to

locate the rest of the senshi.

:I will guide you if you would be so kind as to pick me up.:

"Nani?" I asked, talking out loud in surprise.

:To your left, leaning against the tree.:

I looked. :There is just a sword.:

:I am the sword, youngling,: the voice snapped.

:Oh: What else could I say. Wasn't every day one found a talkin sword,

then who am I to judge, I run around in a mini skirt fighting monsters.

I picked up the deceptively plain sword. To my surprise writing

appeared on the blade in Japanese kanji. "Woman's Need calls me, as

Woman's Need made me. Her Need will I answer as my maker bade me."

:Just call me Need, It's what I've gone by the past few centuries.:

:The capitol of Valdemar, Haven. One way or another I have a feeling

the clues to finding your friends will be there.:

:Then let's get started.:

Author's Note: Sorry for the chapter being so short but I didn't

really have much more to do with Setsuna right now.

Author's Note: Man, I had to do research for this chapter! Just one

more chapter to go until I get back to all the other senshi. I have

noticed that I haven't had the senshi introduce themselves as is

proper in Japan: last name, personal name. I will start to do that.

Chapter Nine: Maiden of Lightning

Makoto

"Kuso," I swore as I awakened and was immediately assaulted by intense

pain.

I blinked my green eyes until they focused enough to see. I looked

around expecting to find the familiar walls of my restaurant; instead

I discovered that I was in a tent, crudely made by Japanese standards.

Across the tent from where I laid was a crone in breeches and tunic of

dark blue and a headdress with the ears of a wolf.

As if sensing my stare, she looked over at me with piercing light blue

eyes. She picked up a bowl containing a liquid and walked over to me.

"Staven," she said, holding the bowl out for me to take.

Did she want me to drink? When I didn't take the bowl she put it to my

lips and tilted it so that some of the liquid dribbled into my mouth.

It was water! I took the bowl into my own hands and drained the rest

of the water. I hadn't realized how thirsty I was! "Arigatou," I

whispered.

The strange woman gazed at me before speaking rapidly in an unknown

language. I shook my head to tell her I didn't understand her. She

paused and then spoke again this time in heavily accented English.

"Do you understand this speech, young one?"

"Y-yes," I answered in the same tongue. I glance around again. "Where

am I?"

"With the Shi'a'in clan Vuysher'edras. I am their shaman Chihi. May I

know your name child?"

"Kino Makoto."

"Kino...sounds almost Shi'a'in."

I shook my head. "Kino is my family name, it is tradition to give it

first. Makoto is my personal name, Mako for short."

Chihi gave a soft smile. "Mako, how did you whined up unconscious on

the Dhorisha Plains so far from its border?"

A confused look appeared on my face. "The where?"

The shaman's smile faded. "You don't know...do you know who the

Shi'a'in are?"

"I know you are one," I said cautiously.

"Only because I told you."

I lowered my eyes. "I have never heard of the Shi'a'in, not until you

mentioned the name."

"Few have not heard of the Shi'a'in, though we are quite secretive,

and even they know of the Dhorisha Plains," Chihi told me. "You are

not from this world."

"My head shot up. "How?"

She smiled. "The evidence is quite clear, but that is not how I know.

Enelve'astre has granted me that knowledge."

"Enelve'astre?" I asked.

"The Star-Eyed in the common tongue. The Goddess of the Shi'a'in, she

watches over us in her four aspects: Maiden, Warrior, Mother, and Crone."

So these people worshipped a goddess. Back in the Silver Millenium I

used to worship Zeus the patron god of Jupiter like any good daughter

of the system's largest planet. There had only been three patron

goddesses out of the ten deities; Selene of the Lunarian Kingdom,

Aphrodite of Venus, and Gaia of Earth. None of them had had four

aspects. Selene had two: Queen and Sorceress but that was the most.

"What else did Star-Eyed-sama say about me?" I wondered.

"Quite a lot of things but I can only reveal to you a few of them. One

is that you are now a part of this clan, you shall be known as Makoto

shena Kino shena Vuysher'edras forever more."

A swell of pride filled my being, I just knew that I receiving an

honor not given to many. As if sensing my acceptance, Shaman Chihi

clasped my forearm and pulled me into a standing position. "Come let

us introduce you to the rest of the clan."

And so I began to live with the Shi'a'in clan Vuysher'edras, Brothers

of the Wolves.

Shi'a'in Vocabulary

Enelve'astre - Star-Eyed

Staven - water

Shena- of the Clan, literally "of the brotherhood"

Vuyasher'edres - Brothers of the Wolves, one of the four original

Shi'a'in clans.

Author's Note: This chapter's a little short, only because I know how

eager a lot of you are for me to get onto next chapter with Usagi and

Vanyel.

Chapter Ten: Warriors of Water and Sky

By Delphine

Michiru

They came out of nowhere, two ethereal men. Hair long with moonlight

coloring and diamond eyes, they possessed a beauty that would make

most girls green with envy. They were dressed in gray leathers; their

forearms covered by a thicker material. It wasn't hard to see why they

would need such protection. Large birds of prey perched on each of the

men's shoulders. Each falcon's feathers had been bleached white.

:Warrior of Water: a soft, musical voice rang through my head. Beside

me, Haruka gasped in startelment.

The youngest of the strange men was focusing those pale blue eyes upon

us. Suddenly, those same eyes seemed to glaze over as if her were enter

a trance. He then spoke a loud in accented English. "Princess of the

Sea, Princess of the Air, Guardians to the ruler of light."

The older man looked at his companion with a serious, thoughtful

expression upon his face. "The ruler of light?"

"Child of Balance, Cosmos, descendent of Moon, Sun, and Stars."

"Star-Eyed," the man breathed.

"How do you know this?" demanded Haruka.

A small smile tugged at my lips. My lover was ever predictable in her

suspicious nature. I just hope she would not jump to conclusions and

would wait to see what happened instead of just attacking, as she was

prone to do.

I placed a gentle hand upon Haruka's shoulder. "Feel his energy," I

told her in Japanese. "It is not negative, we have nothing to worry

about. Perhaps he happens to have a gift similar to my mirror."

The tension faded from the Senshi of Uranus as her stance relaxed. She

turned to regard me. "Why do you have to be so damn persuasive?"

This time I did smile. "You're just a big softy inside."

Haruka said nothing as she used her arm to encircle my waist, pulling

me flush against her body. Her stance practically screamed that I was

hers and no one better interfere with that.

"You need not feel threatened," said the older man. "We mean no harm.

I am Starwind and this is my Shay'kreth'ashke Moondance."

"Shay'kreth'ashke?" I tested the foreign word.

"I believe the closest translation would be soulmate," spoke Starwind.

"Not to interrupt with the language lessons, but could you tell us

where the hell we are?" Haruka shouted.

I nudged her with my elbow. "Don't be rude," I admonished her.

"Currently you are trespassing on our land," Starwind said, matter of

factly.

"Your land?" I questioned.

"We the Tayledras of Hawkbrother's clan k'Treva."

"Oh, I'm very sorry. I'm afraid we appeared here unintentualy."

"We know. If you had, you would have been greeted with swords instead

of words," stated Moondance. "There isn't a mage in k'Treva that didn't

feel you arrival."

"Ano...is that bad?" I wondered.

"Not necessarily," admitted Starwind. "You're very fortunate that you

appeared here. We may be able to help you find your way back to your

world."

"Our world,"-my voice quivered-"this isn't Earth?"

"No," said Moondance.

I sighed. "I was afraid you would say that."

I shared a look with my love. "What do we do?" Haruka asked.

Moondance and Starwind wished us to go with them back to what they

called their Vale; I got the impression it was a type of town. We

agreed after all what other choice did we have.

"By the way," I said, "we haven't introduce ourselves yet. I'm Michiru

and this is my Shay'kreth'ashke Haruka."

Author's Note: Looking at the rating change, I think y'all can figure

out what takes place in this chapter. Hee, hee, I'm such a dirty-minded

person. I do hope I happened to make the scene believable, I don't have

a lot of experience in that area.

Sailor Moon Dream

Chapter Eleven: Waystation of Looooooovvvvveeeee

By Delphine

Usagi

We stopped at what Vanyel called a Waystation for the night. We had

been travelling all day long, sometimes walking and sometimes riding

on his horse Yfandes' back. Chibi-Usa had sat in front of me, her back

to me, clutching my arm that I had wrapped around her front to keep

her seated safely. I had sat flush against Vanyel, seated in between

his legs so that I wasn't going anywhere.

"Okay, let me get this straight," I said to Vanyel, "Yfandes is not a

horse, she is a Companion, and is as intelligent as any human being."

"Yes."

Well, why not? I have a talking housecat. :I can talk as well, just

not out loud,: said an insulted female voice in my mind.

Vanyel laughed at the stunned expression on my face. I put my finger

to my lips in a quieting motion. My eyes moved to the wooden buildings

main room, where Chibi-Usa slept. Vanyel nodded, stopping his laughter.

"I-I have something to tell you. All I ask is that you don't jump to

conclusions," I whispered.

"I already know," he told me.

What? How could he? "You know what?"

"That you're shaych."

"What is shaych, I don't recognize that word?" I asked.

"It is short for the Tayledras word Shay'a'chern, which translated

means to love one like ones self."

Tayledras...I remember now. Vanyel told me that outsiders call them

the Hawkbrothers. They were the ones to teach Vanyel magic. "Ano...

that's not what I was going to say."

"You don't like boys?" He sounded oddly disappointed. Could Vanyel be

shaych?

"No-I mean yes I do like boys,"-his shoulders sagged in relief-"but

I'm not a boy."

Puzzlement crossed his face. Sighing, I grabbed the kettle full of hot

water that I had warmed specifically for this task. "Watch," I told

him before pouring the water over my head.

The strange but familiar sensation of my body transforming took place

until I was one hundred percent female. Unsure, I raised my eyes to

look into Vanyel's silver ones.

Vanyel

Where an extremely attractive boy had sat was now a beautiful girl.

The similarities weren't hard to see. They both had the long gold

hair, startling blue eyes, and petite bodies.

"How? I asked, too stunned to form a more intelligent question.

"It's a curse," she admitted. "I fell into a cursed spring, so now I

become a boy when I get hit with cold water and hot water changes me

back to a girl."

"So you are really a girl."

"I was born a girl."-she smiled-"Truthfully, I am comfortable in both

my forms. So as to your earlier question, I am shaych...at least half

of the time." She glanced at me. "That doesn't make you uncomfortable,

does it?"

I smiled at her. "My dear lady, I am shaych."

"So when you asked me if I was..." she trailed off, blushing. "You

must be disappointed."

Was I disappointed? A little, I suppose. I was looking forward to the

possible tryst with the attractive blond boy. Then again it was still

possible. After all, I was still attracted to the male form. I didn't

matter if he was female in mind.

Grinning, I grabbed a cup of cold water and splashed the girl with it.

"Hey!" protested the newly transformed boy.

Leaning forward, I captured his lips in a passionate kiss. Usagi

succumbed to his own feelings, closing the distance between us. He

allowed me to pull him flush against my body, opening his mouth to

allow my tongue entrance. I ravaged his mouth, coaxing out of him a

low moan.

Through my breeches I could feel a hardness pressing against me, my

own becoming aroused. I had no doubt Usagi had never done anything

like this in male form. Releasing his lips, I thrust my pelvis against

him. He let out a small gasp as our arousals met. "Do you want this?"

I asked, rubbing against him and causing Usagi to give another gasp.

"W-what about Chibi-Usa?" he gasped out.

"Yfandes'll keep her asleep," I assured him.

:Only because I don't want to scar her for life: snorted Yfandes.

:Humans, always in season.:

"Alright then." He pulled away to undress and I did the same.

Usagi

What am I doing? I wondered to myself. Here I am, about to give up my

virginity, in my male body for goodness sake, to a man I barely knew.

But one look at Vanyel quieted any doubts I had.

He stood in front of me, bare of clothing, like a Grecian god. Long

white hair contrasted to his sun kissed body, giving him an exotic

appearance. His manhood, impressive in size, stood proudly at attention.

Acting on a sudden impulse, I took the length in my hand. Feeling the

texture, I marveled that something so powerful could be gentle enough

to create life. Vanyel gave a low groan.

I blushed and removed my hand. "I'm sorry, I've never..." I stuttered.

He caught my hand and gave me smile. "You were doing fine." -he kissed

me-"I'm honored to be you first."

Vanyel trailed his hands across my body, before he knelt down so that

he was eye-level with my groin. Unexpectedly, he took my hard member

into his mouth.

I gasped out loud. Never had I felt such pleasure as I did with that

warm mouth surrounding, sucking me, like I was a lollypop. Crying out,

my hips instinctively thrusted as I sought to move deeper into the

pleasurable warmth. Vanyel's hands gripped my hips, restraining me.

A feeling was building in my groin; my mind soared form the physical

sensations I was feeling. As I reached my peak in pleasure, I

experienced my first orgasm. A cry filled with the emotions I felt was

released as the same time as my semen. Vanyel drank everything I gave

like it was fine vintage wine.

As he removed his mouth from around me, a grin came across his face.

"Your quite loud" -I blushed-" I look forward to making you scream my

name."

Just the look of unmasked desire on his face was enough to harden my

member. "You're just as ready, I can see."

Vanyel directed me down to the floor, my rear facing him. I looked

over my shoulder to see him licking his fingers. "This might feel

strange," he told me before penetrating my anus with one of his wet

digits.

Another wet finger followed, and then he began to move the two digits

in a scissors motion, stretching me. It was a strange sensation, to be

sure, but not painful. A third finger joined the other tow, stretching

me even further until Vanyel was satisfied that I was ready.

He removed his fingers before nudging my legs further apart. A larger

length replaced them, pushing into me. I whimpered at the pain of

Vanyel entering me. He kissed the back of my neck and made comforting

sounds. Vanyel stopped as soon as the full length of his manhood was

in me. Vanyel waited for me to adjust to him stretching, filling me.

The pain eventually left, leaving me with a sense of completion. "Drop

your shields," the Herald-Mage asked of me.

And I did. It wasn't like lowering a wall; it was more like the wall

just suddenly was not there.

As my mental barriers dropped, Vanyel's mind joined mine like two

drops of water. Then he moved, pulling out until just the tip of him

was in and then he thrusted in as far as he could go, hitting a spot

that sent a shot of euphoria through me. He withdrew and did the same

thing until he established a rhythm.

My mind was being double assaulted. Not only was I feeling the pleasure

caused by the hardened length moving within me, I could also feel Vanyel's

pleasure as he pumped into me, my body clutching his manhood tightly.

I pushed back against him, trying to keep his length pressing against

my sweet spot. The heat kept building higher and higher until...

"Vanyel!" I shrieked as I climaxed for my second time.

My muscles clinched around his length, sending him into his own

climax. Grinding his hips against me, he filled me with his seed.

"Usagi," he panted.

Pulling out of me, he flopped onto the floor, close to my side, and

cuddled me. I looked into his eyes, feeling our mind connection as it

faded until only a thread strung our minds together. I knew, somehow,

that if I mentally followed that thread, I could once again join my

mind with Vanyel.

We spoke no words, it wasn't necessary. There was nothing I could say

to equal the feelings I sent out over our link.

"I think we had better get dressed," Vanyel suggested.

"I suppose so...after we wash." I really just wanted to stay in his

protective embrace, our bare skin touching, but I knew it wouldn't be

proper, no with Chibi-Usa likely to find us that way.

So we bathed and dressed each other, giving lingering touches as we

went. After a parting kiss, I went to curl up next to Chibi-Usa.

Before I fell asleep, I wondered if this had been a one-time thing or

did it have the potential to turn into something more. I'm not sure

which I feared worst.

Author's Note: I'm not sure if the next chapter should also be about

Usagi or should I go to another senshi. Your reviews could very well

help me decide.
