The Asking Price

Fenton needed the information and knew the guy wasn't just going to give it to him. But it was important, peoples lives depended on it.

For three days, the detective had warred with himself but when another person disappeared, he had no choice. He needed the information and knew how to get it. Sending Frank on a fools errand, Fenton took Joe with him.

Blond haired, blue eyed, the seventeen year old was any person's dream. So when Fenton presented his son to the man, the guy just gaped at him.

"An hour," the detective agreed. "An hour and you tell me what I need."

The man was already dragging a stunned Joe into the back of his van before the words were out. "Fine, Fenton," he agreed with a leering smile. "An hour."

Fenton closed his eyes and looked away. He wasn't sure how he could live with himself but other peoples lives were more important, right? He just hoped Joe would agree with him in an hour.

For an hour, he listened as the van rocked and his son was raped.

An hour later, the man gave Fenton his precious information and told him if he ever wanted to do business again, Fenton would know where to find him. Fenton watched him leave and then opened the back of the van.

He stared at his once innocent seventeen year old and for the first time realized the information was not worth his as he saw the marks on his son's body, and saw the blood between the boys legs.

Joe slowly dressed as Fenton watched. When he was done, the boy turned to his father and sneered. "The next time you want me fucked, do it yourself." And walked away.

Fenton followed slowly wondering how in the world he was ever going to explain this to Frank.
