"I don't understand." Alice cried out. "What is he thinking?"

I just stared at her uncomprehendingly. Then it hit me with the force of a two ton truck.
She was talking about Edward.

"He's gone to Italy." She whispered. Then she ran out the door.

I knew without even thinking what he was doing. " I can't live in the world without you in it." His voice whispered in my head. My world splintered and I fell. Memories flashed in front of me so quickly I could barely grasp what they were before another took it's place. The first time I saw him in the cafeteria. Standing by his car before the van almost hit me. Prom. Him leaving me in the woods that afternoon. Faster and faster like a reel of film the movie of our times together played. No order just continual. All the while his words like a mantra in my head. "I can't live in a world without you in it."

Dimly I was aware of screamign in the background. Uncontrollable animal wails. I was the one screaming.
