Author’s Note (A/n): This is my first AFF story, so I don’t know how well it’s going to work out. It’s a work in progress and a revision of the version I had originally written, so let me know what you think. It starts off a little slow, but I’ll get to the good stuff pretty quickly.

Chapter 1: The New Kids.

Kids are always moving in and out of Rockford. It’s a ‘between’ town. Nobody stays for long. Makes it perfect for vampire families like my own. Anna and I have lived here on and off for at least a century. We were here for the Centennial. The hundredth year since the Town’s birth. Anna’s older than that. A century and a half under her belt.

I’m Izzy. I’m roughly seventy-five, Physically though, I’m only eighteen. I love being a vampire. I have chin length blond hair with bangs that go another 3 inches past that and I dyed black. I look like most other vampires, only I have amber eyes, due to my diet. There’s a special reason for that, but I’ll get to it later.

Where was? Oh, yeah, new kids.

When the Cullens moved into town, Anna and I heard the story. Carlisle and Esme Cullen purchased a rather large house for them, their four adopted children: Alice, Edward, Reneesme, and Emmet; their three foster Children: Bella, Jasper, and Rosalie; and a group of Native American kids that lived with them.

Anna and I immediately knew what and who they were. We went over to their house as soon as the town newsletter alerted everyone to their arrival.

What an interesting visit that was, and what interesting things it lead to.
