Masquerade
Even in the warm months of a Californian summer it can still be cold as hell, then again the city of San Francisco has this lovely effect from the bay that surrounds it, oh just wait til the fog sets it. They don't call it the sunshine state for nothing...pffft yeahAnyway walking the breezy streets at 1 am is not my version of fun, then again when your called out for a job by the SFPD. You come wether you like it or not, but they supply the steady cash flow that allows me to afford whatever I want. Ok thats a lie but I like living in it. Tonight or should I say this morning was pretty much like any other time, cold as hell and seemed that everyone else had something better to do then walk the streets at night... I think I'm just a natural idiot, who the hell wakes up at this time to kill a vampire anyway? yeah I know... I was already up.Ah well Sergeant Corvan had called and like a good little boy I came, after awhile these things just become routine. Go and get the search warrant and the 'offical papers' to go and kill a suckhead, my term for vampires... they don't like that term much. Go figure.Though I'm not your average hunter, then again a person who willingly becomes a vampire hunter isn't normal... if you could have only seen the expressions of my family when I told them what I 'actually' do, but my little cousin thought it was cool or hip, whatever term they use now. Back in my day...Though california was one of the first states before the rest of the country to actually consider vampires as people, though I could never see how someone who sleeps in the ground and drinks human blood could be alive... maybe I'm just slow.
