Chapter 8 ~ Bianca

I got home around eleven twenty five, I only stayed there for a few hours to catch up on my uncle's life and on my part that was pretty early. I'd actually get a decent nights rest, though my plans as always would have to wait. As I walked to the stairway that lead to my apartment a silhouette of a woman stepped out of the shadows, her arms crossed. We were about the same height, though it looked like I was abit taller, but that was pretty much all I could tell as she was still cast in darkness. I had my keys in my hand, now I slowed my pace as I had to quickly think. Either I could continue forward, towards the unknown silhouette or I could pull off one of my amazing acts as I would drop my keys and pull out my gun. I think I'm becoming overly paranoid.

I began to twirl the keys on my index finger as I whistled oblivious to what stood before me, yeahThe keys fell to the ground as I hunched over to pick them up with my left hand while my other hand went for the HP 35, I was crouching and aimed at were the silhouette was. I'm not paranoid, just overly cautious. Yeah and pigs can fly.

The silhouette was gone and I felt a tapping on my back. I mentally swore to myself, but if the vampire or lynthrope wanted me dead. I wouldn't have enough time to damn myself with my vocabulary. I heard a laugh as I shook my head, I knew who it was and she liked playing games like this on me. I got up as I placed my HP 35 back in my holster and looked at Bianca. We've been friends ever since middle school and we always played little games like this on each other, though now that she was a vampire. Bianca had an advantage. Dammit, though I would never admit it to her. I had a reputation to uphold Ri-ight, great the legalized vampire slayer of San Francisco had a vampire as friend. I think I'm the only one that finds that funny.

"So whats up Jacob?"

Her laughter had stopped as I shook my head, my vision of her was wavering from her neck to her chest. I wouldn't look into her eyes as she would most likely enrapture me, it made getting dates for her much easier. Though I wouldn't tell her that, we dated a few times while we were in college, though in the end we decided on becoming friends. It was better that way. Yeah one of my best friends was a vampire, jeez. Though that was before she became a vampire, which was about three years ago. Bianca has a very lithe and attractive body. I stared at her breasts, just to annoy her for the most part. I'm a guy what do you expect?

"Umm not much, I just came from my uncles place... nice breasts you got there."

Her arm shot out as the flat of her palm hit my shoulder. She fought like a girl, but it still hurt. She began to talk in the slight disgust that you have towards a perverted friend. Yep thats me, a pervert.

"Yeah I know, will you look at my face? I promise I won't try to do anything... though that one time was funny, damn I wish I had a camera then."

She slightly laughed, I would have laughed if it wasn't that embarressing. I'm not going to tell you so don't even ask. Though I had to make sure this wasn't one of her practical jokes.

"You promise?"

My eyes still hovering over her neck. She sighed and in the brief second she had tilted her head so I could see her face, I looked into her amber colored eyes as she smiled.

"I promise"

"Ok lets go to my apartment, its getting cold"

I began to walk up the stairs as I took a glance back, she was already cast in darkness, but her amber irises glew in the dark. I could have sworn she was smiling.
